I would have given this chair 5 stars except. It is very sturdy, the motor is strong and can easily lift my legs along with a 40 pound dog sitting between them. The cup holders are useful.
Now to the "except". The controls are located on the inside surface (body side) of the right arm of the chair. If I were a perfect gentleman and sat straight up in the chair, life would be good, and I'd have no complaint. As it it I sometimes sit straight, sometimes on my right hip, and sometimes on my left hip. When sitting on my left hip, if I have something in my right rear pocket, or just plain have my right hip up against the right arm, the controls are often activated and move my legs either up or down. It is the proverbial pain in the rear when that happens. As mention in the first sentence, I'd give this chair 5 stars but the controls would have to be located on the exterior surface of the right or left arm. I would recommend it as long as the buyer is aware that sitting straight is a must.
