Magnesium chloride .. Look it up on internet (terrible for cement damage). Tested on asphalt driveway will not put on my cement! Put 3 times as much on driveway as my usual brand.. Very poor ice / snow melting at +8F with 2x application then applied 3x. Calcium chloride is the best ice melt work at -25F and least damage to cement, also most expensive. This product appears to be mostly Magnesium chloride and a little Calcium chloride.. Cheap and good for light ice at warmer temperatures.. Miracle Melt about $9 / 50 lb.. Calcium chloride about $20 / 50 lb. You decide whats best for your application.

The bag is mostly dust, or the pellets are too big. I used up 50 pounds in only two days because of that. The dust flies away with the wind, and the huge pellets fall too far apart, and they stay solid, so the snow melts only around them in tiny pockets. My drive looks now like it's covered with polka dots. Not a good product. I bought this brand long time ago, and it was bad back then, but not this bad.

My company has used this product for four years now and we have never had a problem with it. It does a great job of melting even at low temperatures. We have also used this on both new and old concrete and we have never had a problem with flaking or pitting concrete. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. I think that other comments that have mentioned issues may be applying too much at a time.
