I had an old generator that needed replacement. I looked at several but the 7500e seemed to fit what I needed and I had heard good things about Generac. It has electric start and kicks over immediately. I plugged it into the house and tested it with no problems. If I loose power, my basement could flood and in winter can get really cold so now I feel much more secure that I can power whatever is necessary in the house in any season. It is a bit loud by I can live with that in an emergency.

bought after hurricane went home put together, oil/gas in it started right up, after i found a 30amp cord i hooked up camper on 30amp and the house ref and freezer on 20amp everthing works great ran for 12/14 hrs. It would be great if 30and 20 amp adapter were supplied and not having to try and find in an emergency.

I have had this generator since February 2017, the peace of mind is priceless. I did look tirelessly and this model was the best value. It easily handles our home ( 4200 sq ft) multiple refrigerators and 2 central air units. I did have the electrician wire the house for takeover, much easier given the winters in New England. Easy install, unpack and setup, by myself. Best of all made in the USA, great network of service centers here as well. I purchased one of the older versions of the GP15000 and have used it in many different applications. Ranging from running out door sound, stage and lighting for various different music festivals I have help run to running an entire 3 BR 2 Bath house with a 3 ton AC unit. The engine used on these generators are easy to maintain and are extremely durable. With a huge 16 US Gal. fuel tank, I have had my generator run as long as 8 to 10 hours, depending on the load within my household, and last me an entire night running my stage setup I have. Love the fact that there is a lift point on the generator to be able to use lifting equipment like an engine hoist to pickup my generator and place in the back of my van to transport. (Generator weighs in over 350 pounds) I also love the feature of having the large inflatable wheels to move such generator around without having to exhaust a lot of energy. Plenty of standard household 5-20R duplex wall outlets (One of the 5-20R duplex outlet is GFI ) to having the mammoth L-14 50A 120/240V AC outlet for large loads. If you are ever in the market for a high power output generator and need it to be portable, The GP15000 and the GP-17500 is the go to power plant.

The best thing I love about this generator is that it automatically monitors the co levels and shuts it down if it's too high. I have small children so this makes me feel so much better knowing that it's safe. Another thing that's great is it comes with the cord that you need for it. A lot of generators you have to buy that separate. Overall this is a really good generator to have. I recieved this as a sample and this is 100% my own opinion!

This is my first generator, but we moved to a rural area where the power goes out regularly so we needed an backup generator. I was thrilled to be able to find a portable generator this size, because we can't afford a standby generator. I was so impressed with this generator when it arrived. It was so easy to set up and came with an extra air filter, oil filter, and so on. Very nice tough. I feel much better know we'll have heat and water if we lose power this winter!

A portable, reliable, economical, means of standby power. It is a bit louder than I like but wear earplugs if you are bothered by the noise level. This machine is used for jobsite applications such as a vacuum,portable halogen lighting and misc. charging. Follow the wattage charts for appliance applications to ensure you have the right size generator to handle the load required. Do not overload any machine even a Generac.

I took delivery in the early part of December 2013. If I did not own a tractor with a loader, there would have been problems as the trucking company shows up in a tractor-trailer full size rig. I had no trouble assembling the unit. However the oil that was shipped with the generator had contaminants at the bottom of the bottle. The debris never made it into the crank case as I was pouring and checking the level and caught it. I had occasion to use the unit this past week as our electric was out for 5 hours and the outside temperature was 11 above. We ran the whole house on the unit but did not use the electric stove. When the 220v well pump would kick on the lights would flicker slightly; the generator never appeared to be working hard. I am well satisfied with the performance and quality of this unit.

All the parts for the handle and wheels comes packaged in a separate box inside the larger box, it even comes with a bottle of oil and funnel. The instructions are easy to understand and follow. It took about 45 minutes to attach the wheels and handle and fill with oil and gas. It wheels in and out of the garage so easily and the handle folds down to save space while in the garage. It has a pull start and it started on the first pull. While it is running it is just as loud as lawn mower, so it's not overly loud. We hooked it up to a 6 circuit transfer panel. This particular generator is enough for our oil furnace, refrigerator, and a couple lights to run all at the same time. It has an hour meter so you can easily keep track of the hours of use for maintenance purposes. So far, it does what it is suppose to do and I am happy with it.

I am so happy and relieved to have this "security blanket" just in case of a snowstorm, as our main heat source comes from a pellet stove. I feel safe now that I have this reliable backup!!
