Very Good Unit

No big complaints. Strong powerful seemingly well built machine that delivers consistent power. I ran it continuously for 16 hours on 1 tank @ 1500/2000 watts. With cycling stuff on and off run time easily should go over a day. Things I don't like, battery doesn't charge while running the generator and no fuel drain valve.

Seems great - just bought - missing a piece

I just received the shipment and set it up for test run. The setup was easy (using my tractor to get it lifted off the pallet so I could install the wheels). Started right up and made electricity, so all good. Then ran it back out of fuel and disconnected the battery so it would store well. Overall, all systems go. Needed this size to run my 5HP well and some other selected items during power outages for hurricanes. Couple of points: 1. Generator arrived missing the fuel supply line from tank to carb. I didn't want to call and wait for Generac to ship me one, since I know it was only a $5 purchase at the local auto parts store. 2. It would be nice for the instructions to give a recommended amount of oil to add at initial set up. I had to add a little, then check the stick, and repeat until I figured out it took ALMOST 2 quarts. For fear of overfilling, that took longer than it should.

Easy to maneuver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great. Took it on our latest camping trip it ran our site and our neighbors site with power to boot. Quieter than I expected! I liked the idea of never flat wheels but they seemed a little bent. Handy fold up handle that was well balanced and easy to maneuver was a bonus.

AWESOME Machine

I purchased this unit because I have lost power at my house a few times and got tired of having no electricity. I did months of research and comparisons between Generac and other various brands. I spend countless hours watching Youtube videos on generators (especially Generac) and finally came to the conclusion that the GP7500e was the perfect fit for me. What I like is that I can power up to 10 different breakers in my house while this unit is running. Frig, boiler, all lights, microwave,tv,internet router and computers. So, I have options for when the street is without power. This product is made here in America and I know they're made with readily available parts so I don't have any worries that this unit will last me years and years. I love this thing more than I can say. Can't wait for the next blackout. Thank You Generac for making such a great product and one that is affordable as well.

Lot Of Bang For Your Buck!

I purchased one of the older versions of the GP15000 and have used it in many different applications. Ranging from running out door sound, stage and lighting for various different music festivals I have help run to running an entire 3 BR 2 Bath house with a 3 ton AC unit. The engine used on these generators are easy to maintain and are extremely durable. With a huge 16 US Gal. fuel tank, I have had my generator run as long as 8 to 10 hours, depending on the load within my household, and last me an entire night running my stage setup I have. Love the fact that there is a lift point on the generator to be able to use lifting equipment like an engine hoist to pickup my generator and place in the back of my van to transport. (Generator weighs in over 350 pounds) I also love the feature of having the large inflatable wheels to move such generator around without having to exhaust a lot of energy. Plenty of standard household 5-20R duplex wall outlets (One of the 5-20R duplex outlet is GFI ) to having the mammoth L-14 50A 120/240V AC outlet for large loads. If you are ever in the market for a high power output generator and need it to be portable, The GP15000 and the GP-17500 is the go to power plant.

Just what I needed at the time

The power went out and they kept extending the estimate on when it would be back on, so so I needed something in a pinch. 90 degrees plus outside and not on city water so I needed 220 volts for the water pump and still enough for the fridge and freezer. As it turned out I was even able to run my air conditioning! it would kick out a little if the pump kicked in though and wait 5 minutes to turn back on...safety feature for the AC compressor. BUT IT WORKED OUT WELL! probably the only house in the area able to have AC. It starts easy and was easy to set up but it is a noisier than I expected it would be.

Starts first pull , second pull if you don't turn switch on!

Very nice and only $750.00 easy to put wheels and handle on about 20 minutes with opening box and ready to run , nice you included a funnel that works for eng. oil. Only ran to test.no vibrations and quieter than old Coleman pro 5000 and good voltage.

YES & NO on Recommendation

I would recommend this Generac GP6500 COSense Generator for his built and quality. It feels a lot heavy than the stated specs, but overall built and quality of the product makes it worth the expense. It also runs for around 12-14 hours on a full tank. No I would not recommend this Generac GP6500 COSense Generator, because of several reasons. (This coming from someone who uses it for full-time RV and boondocking travel), - First: it's heavy. It's heavy to move and it heavy to carry. I'm a single parent at the moment so I don't have someone else willing to help me move it up and down from my truck. Why couldn't you just run it from the truck? You can, but the COSense sensor shuts it off most of the time to protect you from the invisible gas. - Secondly: it's loud. It's not something you operate daily, especially if you live in RV parks here and there like us. I have to set it away far away to cut out the decibles it produces. It's a bitter sweet review if you ask me. I wish I had something that was a lot quieter and lighter to handle with the same power and build quality.

Generac 17500 is great but owner's manual poorly written

The good: Powerful generator provides enough amperage for entire 2300 sq ft house including a/c and 2 electric waters heaters. The bad: Owner's manual - parts list, item descriptions and assembly descriptions do not match what comes out of the parts bag. C'mon Generac - you can do better! Overall: I am pleased with the generator. It is a fine piece of engineering. I also like the relocation of the 50amp outlet from underneath back up onto the front panel where it was on my old 15kw - nicely done!
