We bought a Temper Pedic mattress over 20 years ago and we finally felt the need to buy a new mattress. Because of budgetary reasons, we bought another top of the line brand mattress. What a mistake. After 15 months, we realized our mistake and bit the bullet and bought another Temper Pedic mattress. What a difference. The new T/P mattress is so much more comfortable and obvious quality. At our age, we will probably will this mattress to our kids. Love this new T/P mattress.

The mattress I bought was tempur essential , 3 days after sleeping on the mattress I called to try and exchange it out and they advised me that it was a discontinued mattress and they would not exchange or warranty there product Do Not buy from them extremely poor quality amd very poor customer service,,,, has to be the worst service I have ever seen

The mattress is really stinky when the plastic covering is removed when delivered. WOW. You can let it air out for a few days if this is not your main mattress, that was not an option for me. It's also VERY HARD. I was told to put weights on the mattress and move them around to loosen the foam. I did that for a week, and it started to help. The smell gets worse in the areas that your weighing down. It takes a few months to break in this mattress, the smell dissipates and the cooling on the surface of the mattress appears. I was told the cooling is in the bottom layer and has to be broken into before it starts. I didn't learn all this until I returned to the store 2 different times to learn how to make my mattress as comfortable as the model I tried in the store. It's unfortunate that this information is not shared when your trying different mattresses and you believe that the floor model is what you'll get. That is NOT TRUE.

The tempur cloud page will encourage you to purchase their mattress, noting a ten year warranty: do not believe this. "Sleep worry free for a full decade" is proudly displayed under their ten year warranty promise. However, despite having one of the bases that is approved (on the site, not in the warranty small print), my mattress fell apart in months. I was disappointed but felt confident the company would support us in their promise of a warranty. Despite my proof of a compatible platform bed, I was told the materials (not stated on the site but in the weeds of the warranty) was the cause of the deterioration. Mind you, the platform was not touching the part that was falling apart. If you plan on purchasing a mattress from this company, you should note, also buy one of their platforms. The warranty and language on the page is untrue and the company will not help you after you have spent thousands of dollars on their product.

Compared to our old T-P mattress this is a great departure and more restful item. We've gone from a medium firm to a firm mattress. In the 20 years of owning T-P products they still deliver a restful night sleep. As a golfer many times I arise early and the beauty for my wife is that she is not disturbed. What can I say, there nothing wrong with the product, if this type of mattress is what someone may be looking for.
