Dissapointing Change

Country Crock WAS our family tradition for decades... and the "new" butter is horrible and salty and now we are stuck finding a new butter because Country Crock is terrible now.... it tastes cheap and just wrong this is NOT the ORIGINAL country crock by far

I want the original taste back

Love the new container. And that's all. I've used Country Crock Original for 30 years because I liked the taste and consistency. I don't like the new simple recipe. It may be healthier, but its my choice what I eat. And unfortunately, I now have to choose another brand.

Horrible Taste

I love the new shape but, I hate the taste. What did you do to it??? Why, oh, why did you have to change the recipe...if I cannot find the round tub with the "original" taste, I will have to find something else to use. Please change your minds and "drop" the new recipe and go back to the original taste instead.

Why Change?

I too bought the Original Country Crock butter and my son tried it twice and said this butter is bad. I thought the same so I went and returned it and then I picked up the Calcium Country crock. Definitely not our taste buds. Why the change? I have been using Country Crock for at least 15 years and now I have to start over. Until they switch back I won't be buying this brand again.

Ruined a good thing.

Was a good product that my family used for years, and that I used personally, and in my recipes when I do cooking for 200 to 500 people. Will never use the stuff again. The taste overpowers instead of compliments. Horrible. Like usual, if its good or works, change it or discontinue it.

Nasty

I have bought country crock for years. I loved the taste of it. I cannot stand this taste. Like others I thought my food had gone sour or bad. Its not the food. Its the country crock. Clearly this was not tested before release. I would challenge all executives of the company to try this and see if they will still say this is better. I'd be surprised if they did not agree this isn't even close to edible. We just wasted money on this and until the recipe is changed back or we have the old version I won't be buying it again. I challenge you, Unilever to make the old recipe and the new and see which the people want to buy.

New Recipe, AWFUL Taste!

Like many other reviewers, I grew up using Country Crock and have continued using it throughout my adult life. That being said, this new recipe tastes absolutely awful and I am so disappointed that they felt the need to change it at all. Like the saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" I will not be buying this product anymore unless it's changed back.

Change is not good this time

I have been a fan for many years and like everyone else when you switched the recipe I thought it was my taste buds that were eskiew. After reviewing and looking online, I saw that this is not the case. Though I understand why you change the recipe to make it healthier and simple, it changed what people liked about Country Crock, the TASTE! Remember when Coke thought it would be a good idea to change the formula to New Coke, they had to go back to the original formula. Country Crock should consider offering both recipes, the new and the old and let the customers decide. Then look at your numbers and see what you sell more of. Until then I will be searching for a replacement butter/spread for my food needs. Sorry that I am going to have to switch. We wish you the best.

Why do people always try to change a good thing.

I, the same as sooooo many others, hate this "new recipe". It is honestly just horrible. I do not really understand how the companies taste testers actually thought this product tasted better than the true original. Once again last night I went to make one of my favorite dinners which usually included Original Country Crock or the Added Calcium version. I couldn't even finish it. Starting today I am on the hunt for a new brand. Really disappointed. While I search I will be watching and really hoping that Country Crock realizes the huge mistake they made and go back to what has worked for them all these years.

ruined my families dinner

Very disappointed, after cooking a feast for my family everything tasted wrong. The corn, mac n cz, mashed potatos, cake was all blah just as if I would use one of the many other nasty non butters on the shelf. Tried again the next day and my son would not eat his pancakes because he said the butter was yucky ( he is only 5 and noticed). For many years I have bought and encourage others to use your products at this point I feel that it is time for me to shop for a new company. With us being weeks out from holiday cooking this new original recipe is just not going to make the cut. My family recpies will never taste the same and that makes me really sad.
