The carafe is great! I like that I can choose to go bold and the heat level for the warmer. However the single serve doesn't get hot enough for me. It will brew the single cup hot but the cup does not stay hot for long even when I warm my cup. If you like to have a leisurely cup of coffee, use the carafe.

Great product that performs as expected for the price. Only negative I have is that the single cup function needs a statement in the instructions that you need to run a 4oz alone with no k cup to get the air out of the line before running a full 8, 10, or 12oz or the coffee grinds will be blown out the top.

It’s easy to use. The instructions are fairly clear and simple. I love the duality of a single cup or full pot option. That was what I was missing in my kitchen. I upgraded from a keurig when I needed a pot for a group. I like grinding my own coffee with the option of using it in either mode. It’s cumbersome to do that with more than one cup at a time as in the keurig. The only think I wish that it did was grind the beans too. Otherwise I think it’s a great maker.

I purchased two of these coffee makers within two weeks. I was so excited because it had everything I wanted. On the third use, the hot plate began smoking very badly. It filled my kitchen. I reported it and returned it. After ordering a second one, the single pod button wouldn’t even turn on. I was extremely disappointed because all Cuisinart products I have are great.

I really love the flexibility of this 2 in 1 coffee maker. My husband wakes up earlier than me and can have one cup of coffee using our own pods. When I wake up I put up a pot. The main concern I've always complained about is that the warming plate is not unpainted stainless steel, so no matter how careful I am in wiping up any drips on it, it would always RUST and stop working. I resolved this issue by purchasing an aluminum disk, less than 1/16 inch thick to rest inside the warming plate area. It conducts heat perfectly and when it cools, I lift it out and clean it. The coffee pot slides over it (instead of the rusted plate). But I love the 2 in 1

I always trust the Cuisinart brand for kitchen appliances. We've had several Cuisinart coffeemakers and this is a replacement of a model that brews both k-cup and 12-cup carafe. This one adds an option for ice coffee, which we haven't used yet. Frankly, I wish we could ditch the need for k-cup, but our household includes both full-caf and decaf drinkers. Pros: nice looking; small footprint for what it offers; strong brew option; trusted brand; includes charcoal and gold tone filters. Cons: k-cup side needs to brew at higher temp; carafe can leak while pouring; when carafe is on the warming plate, it's too easy to accidentally turn off warming plate to brew a k-cup (I've searched online for support to address this with no luck).

Disappointed. Had been using the previous model for 3 years and decided to upgrade to this new model. Mainly use the pod feature. The ounce selection is NOT accurate. The 12 oz selection barely gives you a 10 ounce output. And I tested it using no pod so as not to account for water absorption in the grounds. When you brew a coffee in the 8 or 10 oz feature you barely get a half cup! Also, I use the latte pods which contain powdered flavor instead of grounds. The brew cycle does not fully dissolve the powder. This did NOT happen with the older model. Always got a full cup. Love Cuisinart products but very disappointed with this profuct.

The machine is great, if you can find one that works. The pod side didn't work on the first two machines I got, so I had to return them for a new one. Thankfully the third time was a charm. Don't throw out that box when you get it, and definitely check the pod side first!

Love our new Cuisinart! Brews quickly, makes great coffee, takes up less space on our countertop than our previous coffee maker, and keeps the coffee in the carafe hot after it brews, which works great for us since my husband typically wakes up quite a bit earlier than I do! The only thing that could be improved is the spout design...if you're pouring a little too fast, it does spill over...our previous coffee maker of a different brand did not do this. But this is minor when considering the coffee maker over all!

Have had this a few weeks now, and it generally works extremely well. Have tried both the K-Cups and full pots ... both work well. Tried the overnight auto-on for a full pot .... worked perfectly. My only complaint comes from using a so-called "green" K-Cup that had a fabric side/bottom vs plastic. It actually brewed the coffee OK, but during the process some coffee sprayed outside of the machine and onto the countertop. Not a lot ... just a few drops. Since the "normal" K-Cups work perfectly, I'm considering this "no big deal."
