Upon opening it the mattress pad already feels cool, and it is a good weight to cover and protect the mattress. It fits well on the bed and doesn’t pop off after sleep which is always a plus.

I have purcased cooling pads in the past but never really felt they helped. I didn't know if this was really helping as it's not really hot here yet, but that doesn't matter when you sleep too hot! So much so that he had to shower in the morning after showering the night before. He still runs hot, but he doesn't wake up soaking wet anymore. The pad is very cool to the touch, pretty thick, fits perfectly on a twin bed, and extends over the edge of the mattress.

When I first tried it it was pretty cold where I live so I couldn’t quite tell if it was the mattress pad that was doing it or the weather. But after it got warmer I noticed that it stayed cool throughout the night. It’s not super thin which is also nice and it’s machine washable so I didn’t have to worry about extra care when cleaning it. It helps a lot to regulate my temperature especially sleeping next to my partner which we both run warm. We would definitely recommend it 10/10
