Excellent Shelves for the price

These shelves are easy to put together and are very sturdy. They are excellent for the price. There are similar shelves on Amazon at a much higher price. I have purchased 9 of these shelves for my new home. It feels so great to have these large and roomy shelves to help organize my garage.

Huge amount of storage area.

At first I was disappointed. It looked like it might be flimsy when put together and the shelves looked like cheap particle board that might not hold up. But, once it was put together and loaded down, it did just fine. The 2 ft. x 4 ft. shelves hold an amazing amount of stuff. Wish I had bought 2 at the same reduced price.

shelving unit

This shelving unit was hard to set up. the extending posts were almost impossible to connect because the frame studs are not thick enough to lock into the existing post. It took me three hours to assemble and it still looks crooked. I got two of these on sale. I still have one more to assemble. I did call the customer service number for help and all I got in return was a copy of the assembly instructions which I already have. I'm not looking forward to assembly of the second unit.

Not bad but not great

The frame is ok but the plywood is flimsy and will in no way hold 4000 lbs. I am using this for odds and ends in the garage for storage so it will work fine. Will probably switch out the wood it comes with for 1/4" plywood to be a lot more sturdier. Not a bad product but not for heavy duty applications. We bought 2 of these. Both boxes were banged up and all the plywood pieces had some minor damages. Mostly corners smashed in but not broken per say just not 100 perfect. Still a good deal for storage but not for heavy duty usage. Would buy again just understand the plywood is thin and not durable.

Not bad for the price

Nice and decent quality for the price, but does NOT come with connectors. You have to pay for the upgraded version of this shelving unit. Also if you do get these connectors it changes the ability to have even shelving Bc the connectors cover two of the holes. So not sure how they get the even spacing as pictures. But I kept them despite these issues.

study and heavy duty

When I started assembling, initially I thought this isn't a good choice. But however I went on and assembled the rack. For me, It took two hours to resemble the entire rack without help. The instruction sheet tell us to use the couplers to hold 2 posts together, but the package doesn't come with the couplers. This caused confusion. But once it was assembled, it looks sturdy and I am happy with it.

Amazing

I had the added set-up package. It looks great and its nice and sturdy. The person who came to set it up was friendly, professional, and courteous. I would recommend this shelf to anyone wanting quality and stability. Also the Walmart picture doesnt show the depth of these shelves very well. The shelves all have nice depth as well. Im very happy and satisfied.

Edsal Shelving

Very strong shelving and a good size for medium to relatively large items. I do recommend anchoring the top to the wall but that is typical for tall shelving. I gave this a 4 star rating only because it's tough to move very far without coming apart. But if I'm going to move the shelves around I should've gotten one with wheels. Right?

Both boxes damaged - one got sent back to Arkansas

I ordered 2 of the same shelves - one said damaged in the tracking and when I go there was a big hole in box and metal pieces were falling out when I carried it in house 2nd one got sent back to Walmart in Arkansas - when it finally came it also had a hole. One was missing the instructions which would have been a real problem if I did not order 2. It also had bent poles which we were able to straighten - all in all not a great experience

Edsal shelves for garage storage

The shelves were easy to construct. I already had some Edsal shelves that are the same dimensions which I bought at Lowes for $20 more so I saw these and assumed they were the same. These shelves are a bit lower quality and I do see some sagging in the wood of the shelves with the load I have on them. I would probably buy from Lowes again as I have a lot of heavy items to store. The shelves aren't bad and are a great bargain for the price, but if you have to store a lot of heavy things, consider a more sturdy version of these shelves and pay the extra few bucks.
