It's not the most sturdy set of shelving. For about twenty bucks more you can get a much more sturdy Edsal shelving set with brackets to hold the two vertical posts together. In this product being reviewed, the two vertical pieces aren't held together by anything other than the cross rails/braces.

this unit is junk . its held together by sliding rivits into slots. as you try to assemble the unit the lower shelf you just assembled pops out this happens constantly durring assembly it does not help that the steel bars are warped from manufacturing. I spent an hour trying to assemble this and it was constantly popping apart . unless you want to drill 40 or 50 holes for bolts to hold it together , I strongly advise not buying this and I m no stranger to tools. im a retired machinist. I ended up throwing it away because it was damaged from trying to assemble it. stay away. signed out 89 dollers

I like the two I bought and, at this price, will buy two more. Easy for two people to assemble. I wouldn't try it alone, though. Really helped to organize my garage. I choose to have it shipped and, although the boxes came damaged, only a few of the shelves had very minor corner damage. The boxes are very heavy though and I will have to have them shipped again. Not going to try to put them in my little Chevy Cruz!

This is totally a get-what-you-pay-for item. On sale it's less than $60, which is far less than what other units cost. However, it's difficult to put together where the vertical side bars on the top half connect to the vertical side bars on the bottom half, and the quality is not great. The particle board shelves always arrive with chunks missing on the corners, and the shelves start to bow very quickly even without a lot of weight.

I love it! multiple ways to set up, Very easy to assemble, i do recommend making an L shape with the materials, it makes it easier to assemble if assembling by yourself. Extremely sturdy, The shelves are both long and wide, so you can fit lots of items on it.

These are impossible to put together. Well, I can put together the bottom half just fine. But the top half does not connect to the bottom on the unit I got. I thought it was user error, but I had 2 people who are good at building things try to help me and they couldn't do it either. I think our posts are warped or something. We cannot get the braces and beams to fit in both the top and bottom posts at the same time. The holes are just not lining up right. We get one side done and the other just pops apart. All of these posts talking about easy installation make me think something is wrong with the ones we got. We're going to have to figure out some sort of DIY solution to this because they are too big and heavy to try and return. They seem really sturdy, if we could just get the whole thing put together!

This shelving unit was easier to assemble than anything I ever did! I actually assembled two 2-shelf units, due to my storage space, and packed them up very full with no issues. As I purchased 2 of these units, I could actually assemble a 5th 2-shelf unit, only if I had 4 more posts. Highly recommended!

I like this a lot, read some of the negative reviews, but really have no issues. The box arrived in good shape, all pieces there and nothing damaged. Put together by myself in about an hour, had my wife help me once to hold when connected bottom and top sections. The shelf wood is not the greatest quality, but should be more than enough for what is needed. Plus cost is excellent.

This arrived quickly and I was able to put it up in minutes. No feet so it has to be on a very flat surface. I'm not putting super heavy stuff on it, but it does not seem like there will be any issues with the shelves caving in or anything. Pretty sturdy.

I previously bought this shelf a year ago and it was great. However, I just ordered another and its completely inferior. The metal is bent on three beams. The finish is now glossy instead of matte. The particle board looks cheaper. Most importantly, there are no couplings to connect the higher posts. The only way to connect them would be to use the beams. Very dangerous!!! What's worse is that the directions still mention the couplings in one of the steps, but they are gone from the parts list. I recommend you NOT buy this dangerous product!
