Sometimes it takes awhile to realize there are products that paying alittle extra for up front return far greater value AND performance over the long term. Michelin LTX M/S - LTX M/S2 tires examplify that truth. After several sets of supposedly "quality" 6-ply tires for our Suburban used to pull our Airstream trailer and having a tread separate on the last set while towing at 55 mph on a very not day in northern California, we installed Michelin LTX M/S tires and have nothing but good things to say. First the Michelin tires DO NOT LOSS AIR PRESSURE between our trips like the previous "quality" tires did. Second the Michelin tires are more round AND required minimum wheel weights to balance. Thus the ride quality is far superior to the previous "quality" tires. Third even running the same 75 or 80 psi as done previousily with the other "quality" tires in the rears on the Suburban, the stability of the Michelin's is far superior. Bottom line, I have recommended Michelin to all that will listen in our Airstream group and many are making the switch as I did. FYI we recently purchased an Yukon XL to replace the aged Suburban with over 200,000 miles and had the new LTX M/S2's installed. On my 06 Honda Ridgeline, these tires were OEM and lasted +100k miles. Since then I've replaced them with two more sets of non-Michelin tires and have hated them every mile. Now, at 225k miles, I've gone back to the Michelin tire and love them. I'd forgotten how quite good tires should be. They give me fantastic wet-road performance. Haven't yet been in the snow yet, but if they perform like my original tires, they'll be great. My advice, spend the extra for these tires. They're worth every penny.

Always had luck with Michelin tires until I purchased 4 defender tires for my ram pickup. The loud whine is unbearable on blacktop roads. A little quieter on concrete but still loud. Unfortunately I waited longer than 30 days to return them.. seriously considering buying new tires even though only 2500 miles on these

I have a 1998 GMC Suburban. After I wore out the factory tires at @ 25,000 miles that came on this vehicle when I bought it new. I then decided to get Michelins, from past experience. I have over 180,000 miles on my truck. I am on my second set of Michelins and still going strong. I get a consistent 70,000 to 75,000+ on these tires. You do get what you pay for absolutely. After purchasing another brand, I turned around and bought the michelins like I should have. Smooth and extremely quiet ride. I got 80,000 miles from my last set. Gravel roads don't chew up the tread like on other brands. Worth the money in the long run.

These tires do it all on my SUV. The wear is great! They're great on and off road. I don't drive in deep mud but I drive a lot of fire roads in the mountains that have some muddy and snowy areas and the tires do great. They're also tough tires and hadle the rocky mountain roads with no problems.

I have used bought 2 sets of Defender LTX M/S for my 2013 Toyota Highlander and each time I have been very pleased with both the wear and performance of these tires. First set lasted around 70-80K miles and the current set has been on for ~20K miles and look barely used. These tires have lasted much better than the Bridgestone tires that originally came on the vehicle and also ride much smoother. Just got back from a road trip (8 hours there, 8 hours back) and several times literally thought to myself how pleased I was with the smoothness of the ride. I can only guess that the other reviewers with poor reviews are either fake or there is some other issue other than the tires (wheel alignment or bent rim or installation issues). I use Michelin on all of my vehicles and I have recommended Defenders to multiple of my friends based on my experience with these tires and all of them have been very pleased also.

2014 Charger that came with Pilot MXM4’s which are excellent. Decided to go with a long lasting tire since she has surpassed 120k. The defender has a bit more cushion than the MXM4 and the Pilot Sports I’ve also had. Great highway ride and strong handling attributes even compared with the sportier tire.

I purchased a new Dodge Ram 2500 on September 8th, 2001. The truck had 75 miles on the odometer Michelin LTX A/S tires were the original tires that came with the truck. I never used a Michelin product before this point. But I noticed the truck had excellent ride characteristics with these tires. The winter was just around the corner but I found that I never had to worry because these tires always performed flawlesslsy in the worst weather. Another excellent quality about my Michelin tires was was how long the lasted. I was shocked to reach over 100,000 miles and still measure 5/32nds in tread depth. and in those 100,000 miles I never even had a flat or a puncture in any of the tires. Well, my choice for tires when it came time for replacement was obvious at this point, Michelin. I chose to go with the same exact tires that I had on the truck Michelin LTX A/S. and I experienced the same flawless year round performance for another 100,000 plus miles. By the time I was ready for my third set of tires for some reason Michelin discontinued the LTX A/S and I began to panic. Now what was I going to do? I could not switch brands now. Then I spoke to my tire dealer which is an official Michelin dealer and they assured me that the Michelin LTX M/S was a good replacement. I was a little skeptical at first because I liked the perfromance as well as the look of my Michelin LTX A/S tires. I took thier advice and purchased the Michelin LTX M/S tires and once again I got 100.000 plus miles of good solid year round performance. I have always been happy with Michelin tires, I am a mechanic and I am often asked which tires are a good purchase and I always recommend Michelin and refer to my history with them on my truck. That Ram has always been a special truck to me because it was the first new vechicle that I have ever bought, and the events that would unfold three days after I bought my new Ram on September 11. 2001 would suddenly give me a renewed appreciation for life and the freedoms we are blessed with in the United States of America. My Ram currently has about 450,000 miles on it and I am ready for my fourth set of Michelins. That truck has been good to me and has never given my any problems. My Michelin tires have been good to me too. I never even got a flat and my original Michelin LTX A/S spare tire is still mounted under the bed and still has full air pressure in it. My truck and my Michelins have taken me a lot of places. Somtimes a long way from home. But, I know that Ill always make it back because my truck has never let me down and neither has my Michelins

Have been using various Michelin tires almost exclusively since the early 1970s. The few times I've purchased another brand, I regretted it very soon. In my opinion Michelin simply makes the best tires available at a reasonable price, which usually winds up being among the lowest cost per mile, even though a larger investment up front. I especially appreciate the real safety factors such as good stopping characteristics, good traction on slick roads, low propensity for hydroplaning.
