It's hard to mess up pepperoni, but they have done it. Taste is passable, but quality is below poor. Fairly thin, but that's not too big an issue. When out of the package the grease is heavy. MUCH more so than any other brand. That sucks, but you are going to have dripping hands when handling it. On top of that, you must refrigerate it after opening, and that grease will solidify making you have a solid clump of pepperoni that is nearly unusable. Some slices will come away, but others are just going to tear due to the aforementioned thinness. Unless you plan to go through the hassle of drying your pepperoni, then you should avoid these. I understand pepperoni is a lot of grease, but this is beyond excessive. Sam's Club replaced their Hormel pepperoni with their brand, but they should have learned how to make pepperoni first. They need a better recipe with the right fat ratio, then make them slightly thicker so they don't fall apart, and with the right ingredients, they wont stick together in the fridge making them unusable. This is a growing problem with products from Sam's, and at least once (Smartfood cheddar popcorn) they had to bring back what they replaced because their products are usually inferior to an extrema point. With the pepperoni, I was finally forced to go to their competitor because so many items I buy as staples have been replaced with Members Mark brands that are not worth eating.
