Unbelievable picture quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just recently bought this model tv and could not be happier with the picture quality. Not only that, the integrated smart tv features are great. Very easy to navigate and get the hang of. I highly recommend this tv.

Amazing picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture quality on this tv is amazing! I replaced my Panasonic plasma tv (also great picture quality) with the OLEDC8 and couldn't be happier. I also like the smart tv functionality, easy to use, and snappy fast.

Gorgeous Picture, A Few Quirks & A Big Unknown

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best picture of any TV I've owned. Occasional app problems; Netflix stalls, YouTube crashes. Audio bug: I'm using Optical Out and every once in a while, it stops working. I have to switch the audio to another output and then back to Optical to get it working again. Image Retention Paranoia: The manual states that image retention is possible when displaying static images on the screen for a long time and/or can be caused by black bars shown on the left, right, top or bottom on the screen (common with anything not formatted for 16:9). What's a "long time?" I have no idea. Is watching a movie for 2 hours that I cannot resize a "long time?" I find myself switching inputs to something full screen every time I step away from what I'm watching because I just don't know.

Best picture on the market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great television with an outstanding picture and features. I had an issue with sound sync to picture but it was the cable box surround that needed to be shut off, an easy fix that was hard to find/troubleshoot. I wish the set had a routine to calibrate the picture. Other than these two minor items the set is absolutely stunning.

Lives up to the hype!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've now had this set for a month now and I have to say, this display absolutely lives up to all the hype. Setup right out of the box was easy, and the factory calibration settings on most inputs we're the closest to ideal I've ever seen. Visually, nothing pops like HDR content on OLED, and everyone I've had over has commented on how great content looks (even with the lights on). The display design gets compliments too, people love how thing most of the display is. It's probably got the best stock remote I've ever seen, but it's got a lot of tech built in so replacements won't be cheap. I should also mention that after a solid month of usage (gaming as well as movies), I haven't seen even a trace of burn in even when looking for it with grayscale test screens. That said, there are a few issues. Dark details can get crushed, though it's not as bad with HDR content as I was expecting. For me, I think motion interpolation looks unnatural (soap opera effect) and LG's TruMotion is no different. Unfortunately it's turned on by default on every input. Probably the biggest technical issue is that HDMI 2.1 isn't supported, so this set doesn't support 4K video and 120hz content simultaneously. There isn't much (if any) content that this would affect, but it could be an annoyance for some in the future. I'm not a fan of the VEGA mount design either, the center of gravity is so low that the display can tilt forward if the mount isn't strong enough to resist it. It's a small annoyance, but it could be addressed by altering placement or the design of the electronics package. There are some potential privacy issues here too, as there are several features that require data (such as content viewed) to be reported back to LG. There are options to disable this information sharing, however, some features will be disabled. Hopefully LG will make some of these available without sharing data in the future, but the industry trend isn't great right now. Other than those (admittedly small) things, this looks like it's the best set I've owned, maybe better than the plasma sets of old. Here's to hoping LG keeps it up.

Beautiful picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this TV a few weeks ago after a lot of investigation and reviews. It was the best available for the money. Not cheap, but worth every penny. We never had a picture this clear and colors so vibrants. Sometimes when it's dark in a movie for example, it was difficult to see what was going on. But not with this TV. It's almost like when the golfers are looking for their ball, we could tell them: it's there just on your left. We still are discovering new things we can do to increase the viewing pleasure. So far, more than satisfied with our choice.

Excellent picture but stopped working after 3 mont

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought TV after a lot of research 3 months ago. Watching a movie and the tv popped and picture went out. I am now a week into attempting to get warranty service and tech ordered power supply but still not in. Not at all what i was expecting in a new OLED tv!

Really great TV and picture

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we bought this TV to replace an old one, and friends had purchased one like it 6 months before and loved theirs. So we checked them out thoroughly...and really thought the picture, sound and quality, not to mention the thin screen...so nice! It works great, was easy to set up, and the warranty is good also. Love this TV

Best TV Experience Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my first OLED TV from LG and fell in love with the technology. My wife commented on the 3D like look of the picture and I agree, When watching TV on it, it in not like watching TV it is like looking through a window at live action.

Best TV EVER!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased our TV back in July and have thoroughly enjoyed it! While it was our first "smart" TV; we couldn't be happier! The picture is crisp and the colors are true! The motion rate among different viewing channels is exquisite!
