great value and great product for the money

I have been using this for several months now. This machine is just ok. One minor note. If your use to using a trimmer were the head spins clockwise then make sure you purchase a pair of shin guards with this machine because you are going to need them (this one spins counterclockwise). The edge attachment tends to become disengaged while operating.

I bought this for my front lawn and passage way to my front door. For starters I didn't like how heavy it was when I had tried to use the edger. It also didn't help that the edger won't spin unless you already have it spinning before you hit the dirt. The weight is expected when you get a gas tool like this but having to hold it up the entire time was annoying. Then to top it off, the machine wouldn't turn back on 5 minutes after I went to my back yard to trim up the porches grass. I had it for a total of 2 hours and took it back. Thankfully Sam's Club is awesome with returns. Took it back and within minutes I was on my way home. Just save your money and invest in a better quality machine.

Works great and super easy to restring. Previous review explains it nicely...literally takes two minutes. Read the review and don't overthink it.

Sound like most of the bad reviews below are because of user errors. If you know how to use a trimmer then you will like this, especially for the price.

I bought this on 11th of June this year. It is totally useless. I read the instructions carefully. It took at least 20-30 pulls to start it. Then after a minute or less, it would just turn off. Other times, it would not start at all. The line is already half in length after may be 15 minute of total use. The reason I am now writing this review is that it won't even do any of the above now. I can't even pull the starting cord beyond 5-6 inches. It is stuck and won't budge. I have read the instruction manual many times, so no I am not the problem.

I was having high hopes based off the other 2 reviews, I have St Augustine grass so I thought I would try this since using a weed eater was never a good look to the yard. I bought it today and what would normally take me 30 min to do took me over an hour due the blade clogging up or getting stuck in the ground, the motor is not strong enough to penetrate the ground and cut through the thick grass. Plus side it did start up very quickly when I had to restart it.

For a trimmer that purports to do so much, it can't even give simple directions. How do you change the trimmer line? Looks like a relatively good deal if you need both a trimmer and edger but it basically becomes an overpriced edger.

Only worked for three uses and now doesn't stop never but another

Can not be operated on left side of body per instruction manual.
