People seem to be getting confused about a couple points: 1. Wandering / Poor tracking: this tends to happen with untrained staff mounting all four tires on the wheels one direction, which makes directional tread patterns like these backwards on one side of the car, which results in poor tracking and wandering. I have had tire shops do this, and it feels exactly how some "disappointed" reviewers are describing their performance. 2. Poor MPG: Michelin has replied here to a bunch of people that fresh tire compounds result in lower mpg at first. That's not untrue necessarily, but so far people have ignored that new tires are physically larger than worn tires, even at the same nominal size. The worn tires are giving artificially high MPG figures (they aren't going as far as the odometer says), and the new ones are often giving artificially low figures (going farther than the odometer says, since they are often set for an average tire age), so jumping from worn to new makes it falsely appear that there is a significant MPG difference. So, don't get it twisted! These are great tires, especially in wet environments. Even at double the price of standard "used car grade" tires, I bought two more sets of these, so every car would be as safe and comfortable. I only wish they came in a light truck load rating so I could feel better taking them on forest roads.

We have a New Pathfinder and New Qx60. We put the cross climates on the qx60 and the defender on the Pathfinder. We put them on them one day apart so both tires are New. The ride comfort and mpg with the defender is much better. The cross climate is much harder noiser and eats fuel. Unless you are I'm major snow alot the defender is a better every day tire. The cross climate is mire of a sport tire with great winter performance. We are going to switch them out for the defender this week.

I have had these Cross Climate 2 tires since March now. I LOVE THESE TIRES!!! I usually write reviews, but these tires deserve one! I have now had experience in multiple seasons driving on them and I am extremely impressed! We have our first snow here in southern Oregon, only 2-3", and I do not feet the need to rush to get my snow tires put on (I will do that soon because we'll get more snow) but these tires are safe and comfortable for now to allow me time to schedule the swap. I bought these a month ago and they have been great in the snow and on dry pavement. The grip it has during turns is fantastic. I personally like the look it gives my vehicle. Took long road trips over the Holidays and our family felt safe the entire time. Haven't had them for summer yet so we will see. As of now we love the CrossClimate 2 Michelin Tires.

Baffling how amazing these things are. I’m a very aggressive driver these obviously don’t have the extreme dry weather grip a dedicated summer tire would but I’ll trade that any day for what these things are capable of in the wet. Who was that famous Spaniard formula one racer who lived for a wet race track? Ayrton Senna ? That’s who I feel like in the wet with these tires. Amazing. It’s pouring right now this twisty backroad I use all the time that gets lakes on it when it rains and has thrown every vehicle I’ve ever owned into massive hydroplaning didn’t move me an inch today and I hit the lake that formed over this hairpin like I was Senna. Amazing. Third time now I’ve been in white knuckle rainy weather and I didn’t have a care in the world. Way above posted speed limits. Honestly wanna get my car on a racetrack and see if I’m fact these do have limits. All this and sixty thousand mile expected life?? Unbeatable. Nothing compares. These things Legitimately throw the water away from the tires if that makes sense. Wouldn’t know it was raining / pouring if it wasn’t for wipers needing to be on at full speed. Honestly can’t wait for the snow but I’m guessing these things are going to unflappable and unstoppable when the snow falls. Wow. I had Michelin Defenders for my Honda Ridgeline '17 (bought in Oct 22) they too were smooth and as I spend most of my time on the highway, they lasted a while. Now got the new Cross Climate 2 and I was impressed !! The tires are amazing, quiet, smooth and the truck handles a lot better. I would highly recommend them.

These tires continue exceed my expectations at 10k on my 2018 Lexus RX 350. They are the best ever in heavy rain for steering control. Have not tried them in snow. I had a flat on the rear and had no indicators till a passing motorist motioned me over. The tire tread design might be an acquired taste for some,but are worth the extra cost for the quiet ride ,safety and dependibility. I'll put them on my wife's Avalon.

I bought these tires about five months ago. They have great traction in the dry and the wet no testing for snow yet it hasn’t fallen. As expected small size pieces of gravel will get stuck in the grooves between the rows of tread… easy enough to pop out with a small screwdriver. My Toyota Sienna rides smooth with perhaps a little more noise than a regular summer tire… don’t forget, this is basically an all season tire, so you give up a little to get a lot.

The Michelin CrossClimate 2 are great all-season tires with a strong grip, smooth handling, and solid snow performance. They last long, rides quietly, and work well in most weather. They are a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it for safety and durability. Not a full winter tire, but great for year-round use.

Great tire, I bought the original Cross Climates, tires for my Honda CR V 215/70/16 got a nail in my sidewall will need a new tire guess want the Cross Climate 2 is not made in the size tire I have, now I am screwed, I want a tire that has the #MPSF ratting which not other Michelin tire has other then there snow tire which I am not going to put on a car with 3 other type of tires. Michelin you have let me down
