I really like it We've only had it running for a week. So far its better then the smaller 26lb ice makers. It has more features. I can set it to freeze the cubes longer. Making them thicker (last longer) Which was a problem with the round ice cube makers. They always melted quicker. The only thing that makes a little inconvience. The ice comes out in sheets of cubes together. I make them ahead of time. Drop them in a zipper baggie. Break them up. Then put them in my ice bucket. Fingers crossed this one lasts longer. My last 3 round ice cube makers. Quit working after a year-year

Damaged unit. The box didn’t seem to have been previously opened, but upon unboxing I found that the see through window is cracked, and while the protective film was in place and again it didn’t seem to have been used, there were various deep scratches and a dent on the side of the unit. For the price I paid I hope I can return or exchange this in store.

When I purchased this the first time off of the Walmart website and had it shipped site to store I bought a home and had a leak like a sieve. Now the second time I purchased it from my local Walmart store recently brought it home unpacked it and let it site for an hour. The second time around it worked like it was supposed to. There were no leaks at all and it makes ice as it should. I would recommend this to people, but I would recommend that you buy it in store, not use site to store. Would also say that as a back up to it leaking at any point, I have put it in a large cookie sheet.

It makes sheets of ice instead of individual cubes and seems very inefficient. Not super impressed. Gotta bust up the sheet of ice by hand to make a cold drink which is dumb. It seems to make more %26 hold more ice than the 26lb Frigidaire model that i had before which is what i wanted as i primarily wanted it to make ice to fill a big cooler for home butchering meat but i much preferred the bullet style ice for drinks. If this were a bullet style machine that made individual pieces of ice in an efficient manner %26 would stay on 24/7 till i turn it off then it would be 100% better. As is it's just ok. Got it on clearance with a damaged box so it was a good price so i can't complain too much though. It does what i want for filling coolers and it does make ice that with a little effort keeps a drink cold.

It can make 40 lbs of ice in 1 day and is still compact sized. Great for making lots of ice for parties the day before and continue during the party itself. No more mid-party ice runs. The 1 gallon water reservoir holds enough water that you don’t feel like you’re constantly refilling the machine. The ice comes out in sheets that sometimes breaks into pieces when it falls into the ice basket. Usually, I have to use the scooper that comes with the ice maker to break apart the ice. The 2.4 lb capacity is roughly four sheets of ice. When you turn on the machine, the initial warm-up takes about 15 minutes to make the first sheet, and 10 minutes for each sheet after that. Takes about 45 minutes to fill the whole ice basket before the machine automatically shuts off so that you don’t overfill the machine. Not a problem if you’re constantly using the ice while it is freezing. The top of the inner basket line is where the ice maker will turn off if you’re not using the ice and still have water in the reservoir. Like that you can take out the basket and scoop out the ice that way. I am writing this review as part of a contest.

Frigidaire changed my life. After years of spilling water and breaking ice trays I decided enough was enough. I finally got myself an ice maker, and boy am I happy I did. Fresh Ice everyday, and no hassle. I am in love with my Frigidaire ice maker. Easy to use, easy to clean, works great, and looks amazing! What more can you ask for? You can't, this thing is better than sliced bread.

This Frigidaire stainless steel ice maker gets the job done. My fridge at home is very old (i mean very old) and the ice making section is barely functioning at all. I like how quick and simple it is to make the ice when I need it. It is also perfect for BBQ parties when you need to have ice for a large group of people. Read what you are getting. Yes the ice comes out as a big "brick" of ice. However, that is what it is supposed to do. It is easy to break with the scoop. The only thing I wish is that it recycled the water to make ice again, but that isn't a feature on most ice makers like this one. I absolutely love being able to make ice that lasts for ice tea, water etc. I would not trade this model.

Yes, it makes a lot of ice. Yes, the ice comes out in blocks that can be difficult to break up. Yes, the clear ice is much better than the cloudy bullet-shaped ice from most other countertop machines. Yes, sometimes it freezes up if the shutoff switch gets blocked. Yes, it's a good idea to remove the ice and transfer to the freezer. I don't recommend leaving it on longer than it takes to fill up the basket.

I love this little ice maker. It is help me a lot to have an extra ice when I have my family or friend in my home. It produce ice really fast. The first time in around 30 minutes. After that will be around 15 minutes. \n\nThe reason that I rated this with 4* is because The Ice maker produce Ice, but it do not keep that frozen. You need to use that or move the ice from the ice maker to your freezer or cava. \n\n
