I received the Starbucks Sunsera Blend from Influenster, and it’s officially my new go-to morning pick-me-up. The notes of bright citrus and toasted almond make for a refreshing yet comforting combo — perfect for sipping while reading a good book or easing into the day. I brewed mine with a Nespresso Vertuo machine, and it came out smooth with no bitterness. The citrus is subtle, not overpowering, and the almond gives it a soft, nutty finish and an aroma that I loved. If you like a blonde roast that’s light but flavorful, this one is a must-try. Bonus points for packaging pairing beautifully with my yellow Powell’s mug and a new read!

Tried this Sunsera blend this morning and broke out in a rash on my belly about 30 minutes later!!! Not sure what’s in this but will be avoiding. Did not have any other foods that I do not normally consume so it had to be this new blend. I do not have reactions to other Blonde roasts.

I do wish it were a little bolder-it’s only a 4 on the rating scale-but other than that, I think this roast is fantastic and I look forward to having another cup!

Marketed as a light roast with smooth, mellow flavors, it seemed like the perfect option for a more relaxed cup of coffee—something easy to sip on in the morning or during a midday break. Unfortunately, the actual experience didn’t quite live up to the promise. Right off the bat, the aroma was underwhelming. While some lighter roasts still manage to give off a pleasantly fragrant preview, Sunsera didn’t offer much. Once brewed, the coffee itself tasted noticeably weak. It lacked body, depth, and any real complexity. Instead of a delicate balance of flavors, it just felt watered-down and flat. If you’re someone who enjoys the boldness of Starbucks’ traditional blends like Pike Place or even the Blonde Espresso, Sunsera might feel like a letdown.
