This is our 2nd Sensor Trash Can. We bought the first one years ago for personal use, and just recently bought this one for our new vacation rental home. I LOVE how it is not necessary to touch anything when you drop trash into this can. Who wants to wipe down something just because you are dealing with raw fish or chicken, etc and can spread germs so easily. The trash can uses four (4) D Size Batteries, and they last a long time (or at least based on our usage). Uses standard kitchen 13-gal trash bags and has a liner that secures the bag nicely. One other feature that appeals to me is that it does not take up as much space as a round trash can or even most of the other rectangular ones. My only regret is that I did not buy one for my other 2 vacation rental properties; however, I may be rectifying that very soon!

I had one of these cans, for probably five years, when my spouse decided to wash the top...with the garden hose. Tried to dry out the insides, with a hair dryer, to no avail. Once I regained my composure, I immediately started searching for the best price, for a replacement. Walmart was the ticket. Free shipping, to my home, as well. This can is fantastic. The finish looks great, with my stainless appliances; the slim design let's me slip it in beside my pantry cabinet; and the motion sensor let's me easily dispose of two hands worth of stuff, without having to touch the can, not even with my foot - I hate those step-on cans. It's just one of those items that, once you get used to it, you don't want to be without. Highly recommend this product.

I really like this product because it can be used hands free, or if there are going to be a lot of things to throw out, I can turn off the automatic feature and leave it off until I'm done. Having this automatically open is sanitary too. Lastly, it looks really great too and matches the dishwasher and my refrigerator.

I like the size of this - fits tall kitchen bags perfectly and I like the inner rim that holds bag in place. And it really is finger print proof. Other than that not sure I needed the fancy auto open feature. It opens every time I walk passed it. In the middle of the night not such a great surprise. Also makes kind of a loud mechanical noise every time it opens and closes.

Saw one of these at Lowe's for $100, not willing to pay that much. Looked and found this online for almost 1/2 the price. Arrived promptly. We are very pleased. Sometimes it opens when you are just passing by, a minor annoyance. Only had it a week, so can't comment on durability.

I already own one of these that I have had for over a year and thought I would order another one. I did but it is of a lower quality. My first one had a black stabilizing band just below the opening and this one did not. Also the battery compartment on this one is different. It is very hard to open and impossible to close tightly. I had to end up taping it closed. It simply would not snap back into place. This product reads the same but it is obviously not made as well as my first one.

I feel that it was a great value for the price. The petal on my old Stainless Steel trash can broke; the Nine Stars Sensor Can was bigger, cooler (With the sensor lid) and half the price of my old can. If I ever need another indoor trash can, I will be looking at this one again!!

I ordered the nine stars motion sensor 13.2 gallon trash can. It was delivered earlier than promised. I have had it for about two weeks and it has exceeded expectations. Since it has only been two weeks I can not speak to long term durability but I was pleased with the value and service so far.

I had my first Touchless Trash Can for seven years and really liked it. The reason that I bought another one is that I liked my first one so much that I bought another. My sleeve caught on the lid while it was open and I broke it while I was walking by, (motion activated). Other than that it looks nice and definitly comes in handy when you have your hands full. Really looks better than the plastic or foot operated garbage cans. Easy to clean and looks good out in the open.

I own one of these and got this one as a gift for our friends. They love it as much as I do. I love the fact that you do not have to touch anything to throw away the trash. I got mine around the first of December and it has been working on the same batteries that I put in it at the time. It is like the energizer bunny, it keeps on going. Everyone loves it.
