Most excellent. This can opens and closes very quietly. I see no problems with the durability and if you r not abusive this can should last for ever. Easy to clean and plastic bags r placed very securely placed, so you do not need to worry about slippage. Nice and tall so you do not have to bend down. Don't forget to buy 4 D cell batteries. Over all very very pleased. Would even give as a wedding gift!

I bought this trash can from Sam's less than a year ago and it just stopped working one morning. I changed the batteries, still nothing. It doesn't even work when you click open. I looked up trouble shooting to find that a lot of people have had these problems and more right around or just before having it for one year. Sadly I really enjoyed it until now.

I was skeptical about this product but I have been using it for 2 weeks now and love, love, love it. It does just what it says it does. I have had no problem with it opening on its own or staying open. It has worked perfectly, looks great and I would highly recommend it. Price is wonderful!

I was a bit skeptical about a motion censored trash can; however, this can has made a believer out of me. My son is buying a house, and he and his fiancé had to have one just like it. Being the kind of mother I am, they now have one too. We love them.

LOVE this garbage can! Everyone that comes to our home and uses it asks where we got it because they want one too! CONS: the sensor is really sensitive- opens when you simply walk too close to the can, no biggie! Also, the top had a small crack on it when I took it out of the box, I called the 800 number and they said they would send a new one in the mail with a return box w/postage.....still waiting for that to happen!

I agree with a previous post. It was packed very well. It may be a bit sensitive, but it doesn't change my mind. I would still recommend this to anyone. It's a good size and looks nice in the kitchen. I've been in the market for a stainless steel trash can and this was the same price as a regular step on can.

The only reason I did not give this trash can five stars is because the first one I received through site to store did not work, so I had to return it and order another one. Not the best quality control. However, the new one finally arrived and it works great. It does open when I walk too close to it but I don't mind that. I'd rather it be too sensitive than not. Slim design fits perfectly in the space in my kitchen and I love not having to touch a dirty trash can. Highly recommend except for the bad experience with the first order. I liked it so much I bought one for my mom and she loves it too!

Ordered this online and decided topick it up at my local store. It is great. I like the feature that you can chose to turn it ff with either the lid open or closed. The inside ring holds the trash bag perfectly. The price was great for a super product. I have recommended this to many of my family and friends and will continue to do so.

We were looking for a stainless trashcan and this one was on sale on walmart's website. The automatic open function was an added bonus. Overall, we have been very pleased with its appearance and performance. The only thing that concerns me is the piece that fits in the top of the trashcan between the lid and the can itself to conceal the trash bag. It is made out of plastic that feels a bit flimsy. Other than that, a great trash can.

We have had this unit for a couple of years now. It is amazing how long the batteries last. If it had optional power, we would not use it. Our primary trash unit is a compactor and this is a back up for things that do not work well in the copactor, as well as trash from the other end of the kitchen. It is easy to use in all functions. We only have to empty it once a week so if it is your primary waste recepticle, can see that changing bags does take a few minutes. If we had to replace it for any reason, it would be with the same unit.
