Great and easy Set up

This was a step up from a 43" TV that we had for the past 9 years--talk about quality. For the money spent I think this was a great upgrade and I look forward to visiting various places around the world via this TV the color quality is just phenomenal. There're concerns about the sound quality but I think this would be easily fixed by procuring a sound bar. Overall happy with the purchase.

Great Deal, Great Product

This TV meets just about all of my needs. Great picture, responsive remote and quickly shuffles through screens/apps. Only downside right now is that I cannot download the Disney+ app, but I have read that it will be available at some point in 2020.

Programming problems

So far the picture is great. But the smart cast system has several problems. When you first load the tv on it gets stuck in the process of constantly updating and restarting. I have also had many times where it gets stuck on watch free or other input settings and won't go back to smartcast. Overall frustrating to have so many problems with a brand new “smart tv”..

Disappointed

When I purchase this tv back in June, I was excited because of all the functionality and characteristics of this model. After mounting and setting up the tv; I was trying g to find the option for adding new Apps. Although this model provides a # of apps, I wanted to install a few more. The most important app I tried to install was my Spectrum app. I use them as my cable and internet provider. I currently access their app via my Samsung smart tv which I was able to download the app without issues. I found out after speaking to a customer service representative that Vizio does not allow customers to download apps. I can cast from an iPad or IPhone to the tv but that's not what I want. I want to be able to connect to my cable channels as I do with my Samsung tv. I don't think this was thought out much by Vizio. Currently I'm forced to us my ROKU device to access my Spectrum app. That an additional cost because I had to purchase it. I feel that the manufacturer should have stated on the package that apps can't be downloaded because Vizio does not offer an App Store. To me this is not a “Smart TV”. If I can't download apps. Ie HBO which is not offered on the list. Lastly, I was told this is an ongoing concern by customers and VIZIO is working on it but no completion date scheduled. Very Disappointed!! The only consolation is the Tv has a beautiful picture and sound. I would receive on that level

Good Value

Easy setup. Great picture and sound. I am happy with my purchase. My suggestion for improvement involves the QR scan. I scanned the QR code for documents. I discovered I had to get a file mgmt ap to get the documents. Never was successful. That needs to be corrected.

50/50

I purchased this TV because I know how well the vizio brand stands test of time. However, im disappointed that there aren't more popular brands for options as apps. Where is discovery+, starz, or HBO max? Disappointing that a company such as yourself that you can't get deals to have these apps as options on your device.

Hello ChyWilliams7586, this TV uses our SmartCast Platform which offers a host of built in apps, as well as support for Google's Chromecast, Apple's AirPlay 2, and voice support for SIRI, Google Home, and Alexa. You are not able to manually download additional apps, however new apps are added to the platform often. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device. Best Investment This Year

I've never owned a Smart TV and must admit that I had to do my homework to find out "what makes them Smart" before I made my purchase. I searched many well known electronic buying guides and the 50" VIZIO V-Series V505-G9 was consistently ranked in the Top 5 TV's as a reliable with a good quality picture. After noticing this it didn't take long to convince me to purchase. Setting up and registering my TV was easy but I was laughed at how startled I was when the TV quickly [and automatically] picked up my WiFi and asked me for the passcode. I remember thinking for a split second, "my last TV didn't ask me this", but then again, my last TV purchase was not a VIZIO Smart TV. Once the setup was complete I was WOWED. The clarity of the picture was PHENOMENAL!!! It gave me the experience and feeling like I was looking at a mini movie theatre screen - and this is only a 50"!! And the applications? Overwhelming, but in a good way. I'm still navigating through each application and learning how to utilize them all. I had no idea there were so many TV viewing options out there. Thank you VIZIO for bringing out the Stone Age of "Big Back Box" TV watching and into the future of TV viewing ENTERTAINMENT!!

Love the features on this Television

I brought this TV for myself as a Christmas gift. I'm always going all out for my kids and husband but I never buy anything for myself. But anyway let's talk about this 70” Television, it's everything the features on this TV is amazing.like AirPlay, Smartcast, Watchfree, I never saw this on any smart Television. This is the first. And of course they have Netflix, Vudu, Hulu,. I never saw Xumo, prime video or Redbox as a feature on a smart TV. The picture is perfect it's like going to the movies.

Smartcast has yet to work.

I bought this two weeks ago and the smartcast feature has never worked. I have other streaming devices, so it's not the end of the world, but it's kind of amazing that Vizio can't seem to fix it. They keep offering the same fix to folks who ask about the issue, and it doesn't seem to work for anyone. I have disconnected my tv from our wifi because not only does the Smartcast not work, it kind of bricks your tv for 3-5 minutes while you desperately press buttons and stare at a black screen. So confusing for someone who is setting it up for the first time. Picture is nice though. And it works well with me Vizio soundbar. So that is a plus. Otherwise it would be going back.

Great Tv For The Price

After having it sit in the box for about 3.5 months,I finally unboxed it.I have only used it as a monitor for my gaming laptop.Knock on wood , this 4k tv kicks major butt as a computer monitor through the hdmi hook up.Kudaos to you Vizio......Kudos!!!!!!
