50" Vizeo TV

I bought this TV about 2 weeks ago and have really enjoyed it. I have owned several Vizio's through the years and they have always given me good service which is why I chose it over another brand in the same price range that was rated a little bit higher. The different components are easy to move through from antennae TV to streaming sites to gaming components and blue ray player. There are a couple of things that make me give it a 4 though instead of a 5. I am not sure if it is because of the size of the screen or what but at times the color is not as true and rich as my other Vizeos. I have attempted to change the settings and it has helped some but still not always as vivid and true to color. The other thing is that when I run HULU and Netflix through the smart TV part of the TV, the sound is very, very low having to turn the volume up to 60 or higher to achieve what I have been able to hear at a 25 on my other Vizeos. I bought a Firestick for my new TV and was going to take it back since I had the Smart TV capability but decided to plug it in to see if it was the streaming service itself or the TV. The Firestick reception gives a much better picture when streaming and much fuller and clearer sound and can easily set the volume at a 20 or 25 so I have to assume it has to do with the Smart TV component's connection to the internet. Neither is a reason to not buy the TV but was surprised based on my past experiences.

A few hiccups but easily cured!

I bought this on 12/06/2019 and out of the box, ethernet would not work. It would only download updates over wireless and it took over an hour and a half. Once all the updates installed, Ethernet started working but the display defaulted to SmartCast mode with a pop up touting some feature, and the remote wouldn't work except for the power button. This put me in an infinite boot loop with the TV for about 20 minutes and -- on a whim -- I hit power on the remote, unplugged the TV, held power on the remote for 5 seconds, plugged the TV back in, and pressed power on the remote. This time, the remote started working. This indicated to me that TV's RAM was still using the modules for the remote from the shipped firmware instead the updated firmware since the update process only does warm reboots when a cold power cycle was necessary. After that, smooth sailing with the TV until I discovered what I hope is another firmware bug: I have a soundbar that supports Optical, Analog, and Bluetooth audio input, and with this TV, I opted to use an Optical cable which works excellent with my FireStick, my PS3, my PS4, and SmartCast ... but does NOT work in OTA Antenna mode. I didn't want to use the included LINE IN/OUT cables from the TV but until this issue if fixed, it's necessary but redundant and needs to be addressed in future firmware updates.

Great picture and features

I bought about a month ago to replace a TCL roku we had. Although this tv doesn't have all the app choices our previous had it's picture is amazing. It has amazing features like casting straight from my phone. Anything I can't have on the tv as an app I can cast to the tv from my phone. The sound is a little low, but with a sound bar it sounds like a theatre. I'm overall happy with my purchase and plan on purchasing more from this brand.

Great picture

I bought this a few weeks ago I do enjoy watching the TV the only thing that I'm a little disappointed that I can download other apps onto the TV for example the WWE Network but I'm sure the company is working on giving us more options when it comes to downloading any app

Set Up Is Easy-Peazy And It's A Great TV!

I bought 2 tvs in January; this Vizio and another major brand, the other first. It's a great tv but set up was a bigger; couldn't find my WIFI, and had to redo several steps. The VIZIO set up was much different, and it's twice as far from my router. It virtually did the set up with almost no action by me! It has worked perfectly with a great picture and clear sound - we're VERY happy with it!

Frustrating at First

I bought this about 3 weeks ago. At first I was debating about returning this tv because the smart cast and watch free apps did not work even connected to my home internet. After about the 4th day it started to work. And yes I did check to see if the software was update. Now the tv finally functions completely and works like a charm. Absolutely love this tv.

Great Television

I had purchased it two weeks ago and certain issues i have had might be due to me disconnecting the Television anytime not in use. I had to reboot the TV twice already due to not having actual access to apps, would click to open the app but it didn't work at all, had issues with audio-sound as it fluctuates at times and even had a flash of a blue screen at one point. Disappointed except would like to give it a chance as it is a great television with various applications available, crystal clear image with various picture modes, and it is very light. Proud owner just afraid I might have to request for a new television but blame my energy- money saving practices.

Updated my tv and sound is horrible.

My tv was acting funny, it didn't want to connect to my wifi, so I reset it to manufacture settings. When I reset it it updated itself and now the sound quality is horrible. The tv sounds muffled. I've tried changing the audio settings and nothing works, it sounds horrible. This tv is mounted in my room. It's up high where it can't be hit or messed with. I tried updating the tv again and it won't let me because it says there are no updates. I tried all the troubleshooting provided by Vizio and nothing works.

Extremely clear picture

This has been my all-time favorite gift from a friend. It was so easy to use and set up I also love that there is a help number on the back of the remote whenever I have an issue which is usually an Internet connection from my home. I was upset that I couldn't add apps but they add so many on the regular basis that it doesn't even matter I love my TV.

great tv for a great price

i have been using this TV for 2 months and so far so good. the picture is beautiful for the price. the only negative element is the sound is really not very loud, but as a bedroom TV its just fine which is why i gave it 5 stars even though the sound quality is not top.
