Great TV, no directions

We love the TV, great picture, good price, but the absence of any kind of directions for getting the streaming features going was frustrating. I had to google it through another source and seek help from my son. It all worked out, but it would have been nice for Vizio to give some help!

Awesome tv

I bought this tv a few weeks ago for my bedroom and I am very pleased with it. Set up was easy and the picture is vivid when watching movies or other shows. I also like how easy it is to change from cable to Netflix and other apps. It's an awesome tv.

Many free channels! Excellent value.

Purchased 3 weeks past. Easy hook up and initial programming. There are so many free channels! I've not signed into all of them, but enough to have many viewing choices. I also have Netflix, Amazon Prime and Chromecast. I added a sound bar as the audio is, like my last Vizio, weak. May add additional speakers soon. Excellent value! Negative, no way to add apps.

picture great-channel list lacking

when I bought this I assumed a smart tv was at least as good as a roku tv. I was wrong. Many of the channels I want to watch are not available including discover plus which I watch all the time. I had to put my old roku stick back on it. That was a big disappointment.

Hello dannan, this TV uses our SmartCast Platform which offers a host of built in apps, as well as support for Google's Chromecast, Apple's AirPlay 2, and voice support for SIRI, Google Home, and Alexa. You are not able to manually download additional apps, however new apps are added to the platform often. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device. Great purchase

First 4K and first smart tv. Love the picture and the built in apps. I left cable, except for internet and stream everything. Great that Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Youtube and Vudu all have their own buttons. Also has the Plex app as well. This takes care of every streaming service I use. Very simple to set up as well.

Weeeeell...

I wish i had done more digging about the vizio smart cast television! No new apps unless you use the chromecast??? What in the world is that all about??? Im having to sacrifice picture quality to see what i want on the SMART! TV!! Ok again thats on me for not looking into it a bit more ill eat that. Fine. Vizio! You make the best TV's the buying public could ask for ok. Im still a fan whole heartedly! I just dont see why u had to be different in this series of TV's. They make for a good drs office TV. Maybe like a mall TV for showing ads maybe, just not private use where the full experience is a must ok. Someone's kids would be ok with it. Im also having trouble casting my tablet screen to it! My phone does it no problem. Im just frustrated about that currently. My review stands true though. That has nothing to do with the inability to cast things. Thanks for the great products overall. Please take this as a serious review. Im a big fan of the screens you put out. I dont comment on a brand unless its used by me. No bad reviews just to do it. Hopefully its considered constructive. Thanks again

VIZIO is a good product

We bought another Vizio when the old one died after 14 years. Old one was 47”. This one is 58”. We like the bigger screen and the picture and sound are better than our old one. The drawbacks are that the TV on the stand is wobbly. Yes, it is screwed in well. Also, I use headphones thru the RCA outs so that my husband doesn't have to listen to it loud. Just like with the old Vizio, I can hear the output from the TV as well as the headphones, but either there is a delay in the output from the jacks in the back or there is so much treble on the TV sound that this is causing the delay. I'm trying to find out how to lower the treble on the TV.

I thought the whole point ...

I thought the whole point of a smart tv was so you didn't have to have a chromecast, fire stick, etc. I don't wanna take up room on my phone with hbo max I just wish I could download apps to the tv. The picture is nice the sound seems so off like when ppl are speaking it's sooo quiet when there's music it's amplified one hundred. I like the slim design and the size for my bedroom. It's a good tv some features are just off...

Great picture and Features!

Got this tv for xmas and i am extremely happy with it! I have no complaints whatsoever and am so glad i upgraded my TV. It was so easy to install and has all the features on it already that i need. The 1 thing i will say is the sound will get scratchy at times and i have to restart the tv but its awesome! Love Vizio!

New 50" Vizio is excellent!

My 12-year-old Vizio all of a sudden stopped working...would not go past LOGO. After calling customer service, troubleshooting to no avail, I was told that the TV probably could not be repaired. I searched for a new TV and found a good price on this one.
