No quality sound

I purchased and setup. My first disappointment was not all apps are available. You will need a streaming device to connect. I assumed by this being such a popular brand I would find almost everything I needed on this tv. Once I set everything up with cable, apps, and all. Got ready to watch a movie and NO SOUND. Let me say there was sound but it was like they were whispering and if you turned it up it sounded like busted speakers. So you will also need a sound bar. Decided to return. Great picture, some apps missing, but sounds issues are a deal breaker for me.

Good TV, good price

I have purchased about 6 vizio products now (TVs and sound bars), and have never been disappointed. They have worked well, right out of the box, and perform as good as any others I have used (LG, Samsung, Sceptre, RCA). Wifi connects easily, and streams well. Decent selection of apps (could always be more), and stick connection to HDMI and USB port is well supported. Picture and sound are very good, sound bar makes it better. Always a good product at a good price!

Great tv!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with my purchase, and I would definitely recommend to a friend. Great price with great features. I like that the menu has a short cut so I can go straight to the tv timer and set it without having to navigate the entire menu.

Great Features

This is the absolutely best smart tv, not only because of it picture color/quality, but because of its simplicity to convert from cable to the smart tv world. The cable $$$$ savings alone is worth the switch. I wish I had three more of these tvs in my house.

I purchased this several months ago. It is adequate for the price that I paid. Had some problems with the sound after connecting wireless headphones to the optical digital output. I am fairly computer savvy and was able to resolve the issue after an hour of playing with the settings and more than a few curse words! Woe to the non computer savvy user (like my wife).

I am having a little problem with it already I just bought it 3 months ago and the sound keeps going low when the show is on but when there's advertisements are on it gets real low and I have it turn all the way down. Also I went online to print a manual but it;s only in Spanish. How can I get the English version of the Manual?

When there are changes in volume between commercials and TV shows or movies, there is an audio setting in the menus to help balance them out. Open the TV's menu and go to the Audio section. There you will want to turn on the Volume Leveling setting. When accessing the User Manual through support.VIZIO.com, there are English and Spanish versions. Worth the money 98%.

Only disappointment I have is: 1)No manual hardcopy. I have no access to internet, 2) do not know how Free Tv button work, 3)when audio is raised over 24 decibel, sound has slight distortion. May not be with all units of this model, but it is the case with mine.

Gets the job done

Bought this about a year ago. Mainly use it for movies and video games and it performs as expected. Very clear images, has trouble with some very dark scenes but other than that, it's great! I've only used the standard speakers a few times, not terrible but I have a Bose soundbar hooked up to it and it does the tv justice. Big tv meds some big sound.

Great value for the price

Had this TV a couple weeks now. I never owned a VIZIO but my mother and sister have. they never had any issues and the TV's had good pictures. The newer ones are incredibly better. The picture on mine was surprising from the beginning. I hooked my computer and game consul to it and the picture, game play, color depth are truly breathtaking. The size and price were great! VIZIO V-Series 50” Class 4K HDR Smart TV, V505-G9 with all the online apps I use in one package (no need for third party items). All around VIZIO hit a home run with this TV.

Terrible mistake

Both brand new TVs died within a week. Same make and model. Meanwhile the older vizio that we've had for 4 years is still going strong and is now in the bedroom. Your quality has apparently gone down and we have gone with LG for our new 4K 50" TV for our main TV viewing.
