Great TV but had to reboot smartcast after 3 weeks

Have had this TV since Christmas and it is a nice tv the only thing that is annoying is that after only having it for a short time I had to reboot the TV due to smartcast having stopped working. In doing some research on it this apparently happens with Vizio Tv's.

Very nice!

Old Visio went out LED strip in the bottom right corner finally got tired of a flickering screen went and purchased 55 inch excellent value great picture very very happy with this new product old TV was 10 years old... hoping I'll get that out of this new product

Great Entertainment

I ahev had this tv for just a few weeks, but I have throughly enjoyed it. I love how there are already free movies that can be watched, considering how I do not have cable. I do however have the internet and I am a Hulu and Netflix person. This TV makes me feel like I am in a Theater watching a movie and I am excited/anxious to connect my vizio sound bar. There are so many different apps on the tv, and it was just over a great purchase.

The picture

I love the clarity of the picture, very user friendly. I find it better than the high dollar tv I had! The only thing I would like on this tv is front speakers, I am a senior and have hearing problems, so I had to buy a sound bar so I could hear better. But I would certainly buy this tv again.

Love Picture Quality and Features

We had a Visio 55 inch for 10 years. Needed to upgrade, to get current features. We Are thoroughly enjoying the size of the screen! Love the features and the picture quality is amazing!!! I also bought a VIZO sound bar. Feels like we are in a movie theater!! Best decision to purchase both!!!

An Excellent Value

I recently wanted to celebrate our 10th (Reunited) Anniversary and I wanted to get my spouse something special for her office/workspace in our home. After doing a lot of research I settled on the Vizio 40" which was perfect for her space. The picture is excellent, vibrant colors and sharpness. The Smartcast feature and ease of switching the inputs are easy to master and work flawlessly. A lot of "bang for the buck"!!! We have a Sharp 4K UHD in our bedroom and I think that the features on the Vizio are even better. When I compare the two pictures I'd also give the edge to the Vizio, but that's really a matter of choice. Both are exceptionally good. I'm really happy that I selected the Vizio and so is my spouse!!!

A brand I will avoid from now on

The crystal clear 4K display had me excited to replace my 10 year old HDTV. But pretty soon I began to notice the lag time between pushing a button on the remote and seeing the results on the display. Recently, Vizio integrated it's "WatchFree" feature into the broadcast (local antenna) input making it very difficult to navigate the local stations I've watched since I was a kid. No matter how many times I favorite certain channels or remove other channels, Vizio keeps them in the guide along with an excessive amount of advertisements. The TV is buggy as can be, sometimes the sound will stop working until the TV is unplugged and restarted. I've been more impressed with ALL the other streaming hardware brands that Vizio does not want me to mention in a review, and wish I had kept my 'dumb' TV and connected it to one of those products. I already bought the Vizio sound bar (because the built -in speakers are not great) after I bought the TV so I could careless if I win a sound bar.

So Far the Best TV I have ever owned.

Hugh, clear, focused and defined picture. The internal speaker sound is good. I have a set of powered speakers and this TV has an external speaker out. The sound volume can be raised and lowered just like the internal sound with your controller. It is a smart TV and offers more than I will probably ever use. The setup was easy the TV searches the systems in your house and connects thru WiFi after you punch in your address code. Extremely happy with the purchase of this TV.

Bad glitches

I bought this tv a few months ago and I'm already having problems. When I turn the volume up it doesn't turn up until like 5 minutes later. I'll be watching something and the sound will be in but it is on the Home Screen. Lines will go through the tv and go off.

I had this tv for 2 days before the remote quit working. Was told it was shipped but two weeks later no remote. Than told it was because of copid. Why wasn't I told that at the time? I have a smaller Visio for 5 years and it is still working fine
