I've had this soundbar for about 7 months now. it sounds great but every few seconds, the subwoofer loses connection. It's really embarrassing especially when you have guests over. I've tried to fix the issue but I can't figure out how. It doesn't have a usb port so I'm not sure how I can update the firmware. Annoying

I initially bought the LG SH2 when I bought my LG 49 UHD 6090 as I wanted to keep it in the family and returned it for the SH4 and I'm glad I did. You wouldn't think one higher step up the scale would make that much difference but it did in this case. The SH2 was weakish, the SH4 is muscular. It's that simple. If I had to 'blah' one thing, and it's very minor, it was the bracket design is styled to make your bar protrude out past the mounting surface meaning it's assured to be in a bumpable position. I would have preferred a recessed configuration. Oh well, a workaround was simple enough though and I doubt many actually use the brackets anyway. Be prepared to put an acoustic foam pad under your subwoofer. It helped my situation nicely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For about 6 months the unit worked fine. After that the subwoofer stopped connecting with the soundbar on a regular basis. We have to unplug the sun woofer and then plug back in after it cycles down. It has gotten worse as of lately. We now unplug and get a red flashing light or other times we get a green flashing light. Red flashes slowly and green flashes quickly. We cannot get it to stop the green flashing as of right now and it will not connect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you get this product, which is a good one; DO NOT try to hook it up to your LG TV with the HDMI cable going to the HDMI ARC port. It will NOT work all the time. Most of the time it drops the sound. Technology not perfected. Use the supplied optical cord and all will be well for your sound AND you will be able to use the functions of it's supplied remote...unlike if you try hooking up via HDMI cord. Go optical cord on this one and LG....life will be good.

This sound bar sounds better than a Bose that I purchased and returned- and the price is great

I purchased this item a month ago. Very easy to unstall. Excellent sound & thump from subwoofer!

Sounds great. The only thing is no individual tone adjustments.

I have had this sound bar for 6 years now and it works as good now as it did when I first bought it.

All of a sudden the sound goes in and out. Mostly the subwoofer. Makes no sense and is very noticeable during movies and song play. Stick with Harmon or Bose.
