I live in a small studio without a kitchen but with a toaster oven, which I used pretty often, but I was never happy with it. When I decided to get an air fryer, I knew I had to get one that also worked as a toaster oven because I don't have room for 2 appliances. Not only does the fryer make the best crispy "fried" tofu imaginable, but the oven works so much better than the one I had. It used to take me 55 minutes to cook brussel sprouts. Now, just about 30. And I always seem to be able to achieve the right balance in whatever I cook between getting the inside soft and the outside crispy. I've also baked cakes in here and grilled zucchini to perfection. So happy I made this purchase!

I received my TOA-70 for Christmas and have used it nearly everyday since then. This item would be perfect for anyone who needs a small oven in a tiny apartment kitchen (like me). The only roadblock to setting it up was first finding an appropriately rated extension cord, as the cord it comes with is very short. I also wish Cuisinart would sell silicone liners that fit the size if this air fryer’s baking tray.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and have used several of the functions. I bought it to replace an older smaller one I already had. So far I love it! The toast function leaves the bread a little dryer than my regular toaster, but it's worth it to have one less thing on the counter. The air fry function works great for tater tots and home made steak fries, and we use the tray to make smashed potatoes with butter and cheese on top. I'm looking forward to trying new things with it.

The interior is a bit too small. The upper shelf puts items too close to the heaters, and only thin items can be placed here. Tends to burn items when cooked according to recipes. On the positive side the temperatures are accurate, and the timer is as well. The fan is quiet. The controls are easy to set. It seems to well built and I like the fact that the burners are protected with a metal cover.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are two separate reasons I gave this a 3 star rating. First you can’t set the exact temperature or time because you use a dial. The second reason is that we followed the directions and it was over cooking everything. Sometimes it even burned it. I’m sorry I bought this but I usually love Cuisinart products.

Toasts nicely and the oven works well. Heats up fast. Have only tried the air fryer once and it wasn't great. I suppose you really can't expect one appliance to do all things well. Haven't tried the grilling part yet, but the broiler works well. This replaces my older Cuisinart toaster oven/broiler and I find this is much easier to clean, a big plus. One reason is the crumb tray pulls out from the front (which makes perfect sense). On my older model it was in back and I had to pull it away from the wall, etc. Also, the inside walls of this look easier to wipe down (haven't had to do that yet). This one is quite a bit taller than my last one; not sure why unless it's to accommodate the air-frying feature. I would have liked it better if it weren't so imposing. To do a simple task, like toast bread, there are three different knobs/settings, but once you get in the habit it's okay (old model, just one button for reach function). One thing I was disappointed about is that, according to the instruction book, none of the inserts (wire basket, rack, backing pan, etc.) are dishwasher proof. For the basket, that's unfortunate. The other pieces are easy to hand wash.

The Cuisinart air fryer not only looks great, but it can bake, grill, broil, toast and warm food. Easy to clean and recommend using air fryer paper liners with holes in them to line the basket. The only thing that would improve this air fryer is if it had digital controls instead of dials you turn. Highly recommend this air fryer as even my husband loves using it.

I've been hearing about Air Fryers for a long time now. We had a toaster oven and a microwave and since there's only my wife and myself and we're both retired, we saw no need to expand or add to our kitchen appliances. However, when saw the Cuisinart Air Fryer on sale I decided to surprise my wife. We were a bit tentative when we began but now it is an indispensable part of our cooking. We use it tally. It's intuitive, simple and efficient. I can't tell you anything tastes better but I can say that food cooks quicker and is easier to finish in the Cuisinart. We have other C equipment and find it's always efficient and great to use. We dumped the toaster over and now use the Air Fryer regularly.

Bakes about 50-100 degrees hotter than set on the dials. Otherwise works wonderfully. Inserts should all be fully dishwasher safe. As it is, the main baking pan discolored after being washed. I can see the advantage of having digital controls, but once you get the hang of this appliance, the money savings are more than worth it. Air frying is amazing - who knew?
