Great TV; updates need to be further tested

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this TV for 3 years and it still runs quite well. Overall Vizio makes one of the best TVs out there when considering the price point and feature sets included. I've loved the quality of the TV and operating system. Unfortunately, I have run into OS updates that cause the system to be very sluggish occasionally and support haven't been able to resolve it. For some reason, the roll back to stable OS versions have failed for me in the past. Outside of buggy updates, I'm very happy with Vizio's TV quality.

Great features and great picture!

I bought this TV for my living room and I love it! It's slim design looks great on my wall. The picture is very clear and the sound is great even without a sound bar. It was super easy to set up and use as well. I love all the included apps. Some of them you have to purchase but some can be used for free.

Smart TV means Smart TV

I purchased this TV to have a larger set in my living room. I already had 2 Vizio TVs. When I set everything up and turned it on, it automatically connected to DVD/Sound system. I started to program my TV channels but it too was done. I am very happy with the V-Series Vizio thus far.

Excellent picture quality.

I bought this tv about 6 weeks ago to replace Direct TV with YouTube TV. Generally happy with overall result. Reduced cost by about $80.00 per month. Would like to see a more seamless conversion that operated like Direct TV so far as switching channels, using a back button to view previous channel, etc. However, this is more of a YouTube TV issue than Vizio. I guess you can't always have things the way you want them, but for the $ savings I can adapt.

Extremely disappointing purchase

We purchased our 65' visio in May of 2019. The tv went out in January and was replaced by Vizio at the beggining of Feb 2020. All nice right, except the refurbished one they replaced it with is having difficulties turning on. Almost like the screen is blowing up. Which I will have to again waste hours on the phone, explaining what's going on, wait for them to determine the issue and to deliver another TV in a 4 hr window. Who has time for that. These companies need to start paying us for our time wasted.

VIZIO is the TV Brand of 2021 and Beyond!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We can still remember a time when buying a large screen HDTV was something one could accomplish only by taking out a small home loan, or selling a vital organ. The folks over at VIZIO have changed all that, working in recent years to strike the perfect balance between high quality tech and an affordable price point. Thus allowing the average consumer to enjoy beautiful 4K at a very reasonable price. Even outside of Black Friday and the typical holiday shopping discounts, you can pick yourself up a great VIZIO brand television any time of year! We're particularly stoked about the VIZIO V-Series 70 class, which is no doubt going to be one of the brands top sellers moving closer to Christmas. At an already amazing price point of around $650, if you were to snag this in a Black Friday deal, you would be an absolute fool not to hang this bad boy on your wall! And we say that with peace and love, considering it is the season for joy and merriment. But seriously, don't be dumb...snatch this TV up as soon as you get a chance! Let's just talk about a few reasons why, starting with its amazing panel. You have a full array backlight that ensures everything is nicely lit uniformly across the entire screen. That might sound like a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised how many high-end televisions get this wrong. Often times leaving bright spots in some places and dark spots in others (which can be very distracting to the viewing experience). It also has an amazing 4K upscale that is incredibly intelligent. The engine they use is a combination of advanced software and some kind of dark magic or voodoo. Because we swear, watching some of our old 1080p movies on this beauty has us fooled into thinking we own nothing but 4K content in our collection. Yet we know that's not the case! And the exciting thing is, this technology is only going to get better in time. Speaking of movies, how a smart TV handles our endless list of apps is also very important. We need a one-stop hub that will launch everything we're subscribed to, including Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Redbox, Prime Video, you get the idea! While the list of services is clearly starting to get out of hand, VIZIO always ensures they are packed into one clean, easy-to-use screen. Couple that with a built-in Chromecast (which is a necessity these days to throw your media from your phone to your TV on-demand), it's really hard to find any reasonable complaints about this unit! At the end of the day, if you're looking for something that ensures you get the most bang for your buck, VIZIO is the brand of 2021 and beyond in our opinion. Lots of other great television manufactures exist, but if you're on a budget and want to experience the next wave of incredible 4K tech, this is the absolute best entry point you could ask for! Guaranteed!

Awesome tv with amazing features for the price.

I have to admit, the privacy folders and endless legal jargon about how this tv wants to know my location when I'm not at home, how it downloads mine and anyone else's contacts when our phones are logged into my WiFi was all a bit unsettling. I'm the type that hated the idea of having electronics in my home that could spy on me and swore not to own them. It wasn't until about a week after owning this tv that I made peace with all of that. I was watching the tv when a box popped up informing me that I can now control it with Siri on my phone. Not like a cool feature I could install, but a declaration that my tv and phone had worked out a partnership without my approval and behind my back. It was then that I realized that we are all doomed no matter how many “privacy” features you disable, so now I have smart bulbs and smart plugs and Alexa's and cameras everywhere. I say bad words often and sing horribly, I describe my bathroom experiences with great detail, I don't wear clothes in the house, and do my best to have relations as close to these devices as possible. It's really boosted my confidence overall. I just wanted a tv, but instead I got my very own life coach with access to all of my deepest darkest secrets.

Good TV for the price

This is a good TV for the price. It was easy to set up. The picture did take some manual adjusting until the color was "right". The preset picture choices did not give me the quality I wanted so I needed to experiment with a variety of manual settings until I felt it was right. If you view the TV from an angle, the color does wash out. Viewing it straight on however, the picture it very clear and "colorful" (after the manual settings of course).

Beautiful picture, easy to use, love it!

I bought this Vizio 50' v-series after waiting for years to finally purchase a flat screen tv. This is an amazing tv and we are loving it. Rich, bright colors and the details are so incredible that our cats keep trying to chase birds on the screen! We will be buying another one for the other room in our house soon.

Do not buy!

I bought this tv only to find out that Smartcast which operates the apps on the tv needs an upgrade. This meant after several hours with support I was told that the tv is not broken, but they are working on an update, but don't know when that will be released. I was told to cast what I wanted to watch from my phone onto the tv. Why would I do that when I bought a smart tv for a reason...back to the store it went.
