Vizio 50" V505 G9

So far so good! I like it more than previous model. I had a vizio, D- Series but the picture is much better. It has 3 hdmi ports, I dont particularly need more than 2 but...it also has a USB, audio adapter and an ethernet! It has many more apps and updated features than my previous model as well! I am still figuring it out.... I would have given 5 stars but I'm still learning how to use it! It has 6 direct app buttons on the top of the remote, (I would like other App options,) and I haven't figured out how to add or remove the apps on the main app menu! It should be easy, However, I'm not tech savvy when it comes to remotes!!! Overall it is a great TV that I hope to have for as many years before tech is upgraded and I cant possibly live with this hideous dinosaur tv! I am very happy with this purchase, I didnt spend a small fortune as I had for the previous model I did have and it is much nicer out the box!!! Would recommend!

Constant audio and casting failures

Got it for my birthday almost a month ago. Walked in the family room 3days after purchase and the audio was gone. Had to reset it. Tried to cast my phone to it and it worked one time. Had to reset it again. After a couple weeks of repeated failures I took it back and bought a Samsung.

Good Value

For the money definitely satisfied thus far. We had a Vizio Tv that it was replacing which we loved. It still works and is awesome especially at that time it had a high pixel ratio picture. You definitely can tell the difference when viewing dark scene movies. When going from 32 to 50 is a challenge in this area unless you want to spend 2 to 3 times as much. The previews helped before purchase. I would advise to read them as I found that all of the concerns could be corrected in the menu options ranging from sound to color etc. I really have no issues to report and all aspects of the Tv is fine thus far. No regrets!

Great Value

I bought this TV about a month ago mostly because I wanted to experience 4k gaming with HDR. Plus, if our Ravens had made it, we would have held the Big Game Party at my home. The only downside, it does not support HDR10 for gaming. It is fine for 4k and HDR10 movies, just not gaming.

Faster surfing, awesome graphics!

We have several Vizio Smart Tv's in our home. Each generation gets better & better. This 70 inch screen is so crisp. All of the apps that I already use are pre loaded. Surfing around between and within apps is as super fast! Wish I could trade in all of my other tv's for this model!!

Great TV with one caveat

I love this TV. I upgraded from a plain 1080p LG TV from 2013. Colors are great, sound is great. I like the Smartcast. No complaints. I noticed when you plug gaming systems into this, you may lose sound. That is a big drawback for me as part of the reason I purchased this TV was because it seemed to be good for gaming. For anybody considering or have bought this TV purchase because of the good gaming features and have this issue, I suggest to switch input to Smartcast, turn off the TV, turn it on, undock the switch then redock the Switch. I seem to have this issue only with the Nintendo Switch but others have reported the same issue with Xbox One X. VIZIO, please release a software update for this. We shouldn't have to do this workaround. Other than the issue I described, this is a great TV.

Great picture for the value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first turned it on the colors just popped off the screen. We ended up mounting this outside so it was perfect. I was worried it it was going to be bright enough but it was. I'm a bit disappointed that YouTube tv app was not on there as we use that instead of cable.

This is amazing!!!

This television is worth not only the look at, but worth the buy. I have purchased Vizio in the past, and everyone of them have been good, but not like this one. The picture popped a little more when playing games, and the sound was tremendous. Watching Netflix, and other apps are on point.

TV screen flickers on/off no picture only sound

I bought this TV a few months ago and I am not happy. The TV started screen flickering on and off. No picture only sound. Unplugging the TV and re-plugging it again doesn't help. Tried everything to see if I can fix it evern disconnecting cable HDMI cord etc. nothing helps. It plays well for awhile then about 30 minutes later picture goes out. Waste of money and I just disappointed. I bought for my birthday gift but disappointed, tV no good.

Great Features!

I'm very happy with Vizio Telivision. I bought a 27” vizio 5 years ago and after comparing smart TVs now, I settled with the features from the 50” v-series. It's similar to the old series flatscreen without too much hassle with connecting apps and having the Apple+ was perfect with my iPhone. I'm very happy with it.
