So far so good but...

I picked this TV up today. Set up went fairly smoothly but several hours later it's telling me it can't tell what is in the HDMI ports. I used brand new cables but I swapped them out for the ones that worked fine with the old TV and the TV still has issues. I wiggle the cord, any of the cords, and it suddenly sees the connection so I don't think it's the cords. I'm a bit worried that all three of the HDMI ports are loose. I really don't want to have to take this thing down and drag it back to the store so I'm going to give it a bit more time but... I'm worried now. Other than that it seems to work ok. It picked up more channels from our antennas in the attic than our last set did so that's a perk. There's a good selection of free channels to watch as well. It's iffy with our Spectrum Cable box via the HDMI port and I can't see a Spectrum app as an option. I'm looking to see if I can cast stuff from the Spectrum app to the TV. (I REALLY DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO RETURN IT!) It says it can't download anything over the wired connection but we have no issues with streaming so... I think it isn't being honest about that. The image quality is fine for our living room but the text on the on screen menus could be larger. We have to get up and stand about five feet in front of the set to read that stuff. We'll see how it goes...

Worst smart television ever!!

This is the worst tv ever made in history I wish I could refund it to get my money back. It freezes all the time you cant change channels without having to reset it or turn it off and back on. It will not update to the correct time zone. Can not download other streaming apps that I pay for. it will cut off on you or the screen will go black but you can still hear the sound. I spend more time trying to get it to work than I do actually being able to watch it. I wouldn't recommend this and I don't recommend buying this television. Really Terrible.

Great Features! Easy setup!

We bought this TV a little over a week ago. It is so easy to set up. All I had to do is plug it in and connect all peripherals. The TV recognized everything and even automatically named the ports/connections. The menu is simple and effective. The picture is outstanding. The price was very good. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Remote not working from day 1

I was excited to buy this TV. However, it has been so frustrating with the remote not working well. I have to position the remote several different ways for it to work. When I do press a button, sometimes it does something different on the TV. It's been this way since the day I got it. I'm on day 2 now and annoyed

Great picture

I love love love my TV. I am a Visio loyal customer and I would not switch for nothing. The reason I gave this TV a 3 star is be the sound is terrible. When I put it over 20 it start cracking and I really don't like that. Not sure what I can do about it if anything, but that is the only downfall for me

My Kitchen TV

I purchased this TV to replace an old tube TV we had on top of our kitchen refrigerator. Perfect size(doesnhang over the sides), nice color and smart. A little disappointed that it didn't come with the Fubo app, but other than that a good picture and competitive Features.

What a Picture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I began to remove the Vizio V585X-H1 58” 4K TV from the box this weekend, I knew our family was in for a great experience. The packaging was great – everything was easy to remove – and we were ‘up and running' in no time. We chose to place the TV on a wall mount (already in place) which was easily accomplished. Plugged in the HDMI cable from our Cable Service, attached our steaming device through the third HDMI port, and as a bonus, used HDMI Port #1, which is also the ARC port on the V585X-H1, to connect with our Vizio V51-H6 soundbar. Plugged in the power cord and within seconds we were inputting the needed information to connect to our home WIFI, named the location for the TV, took care of all of the other registration information needed and waited just a few minutes as the TV updated the firmware/software. We were watching the Masters Golf Tournament on our new Vizio V585X-H1 within 40 minutes of taking it out of the box. During Sunday Night Football, it looked at times as if the players were going to join us right in our lounge. We could even pick out raindrops on the players helmets as we watched! Everyone I know has their own preferences when it comes to what kind of picture, and sound levels, they want on their television. Our family is no exception. After watching for about an hour, and putting the TV through its paces including Smartcast, Watchfree, and our streaming service, I made just a couple of picture and sound adjustments that work best for our family. During setup, the V585X-H1 synced right up with our cable service remote allowing us to use it to control power on/off, the volume, as well as cable channel selection. A huge plus in these days of multiple remotes. We do keep the remote that came with the TV on hand to control Smartcast and Watchfree when not using the Smartcast App (which worked right away) on our smartphones and tablets. We plugged in a USB ‘thumb drive' with pictures from our last vacation in Hawaii. The pictures were clear and crisp, and navigation was easy. In conclusion, our family is average when it comes to technical ‘expertise.' However, technical ‘expertise' is not needed with the V585X-H1. Set up was easy – viewing from wide angles great, the picture and sound crisp and clear. We highly recommend the Vizio V585X-H1 as a great family TV that will provide great entertainment value!

Easy set up.

Have had this tv for a month. Easy set up and love the one touch controls for Netflix, Prime, etc. Picture is great and many ways to modify picture depending on your room brightness. Best deal for the price. Life long Samsung guy but this is a close second and with added one touch features I'm glad I chose it.

So Many Features

This is one smart tv. We have cable, but sometimes it goes out. With our new Vizio tv we can hop on over to the Smart TV mode and watch pretty much anything. The clarity is great. It was so easy to hook up. Our other tv was a Vizio too. I'm very happy with the product.

Great TV, Better Price

I've had this TV a few weeks now. The picture is better than I expected for the price. Works with Dolby Vision and regular HDR. The Alexa connectivity is nice. I use a Shield TV, so I don't use the built-in apps much, but the menus are responsive and easy to navigate.
