These are so very solid, easy to put together and look great! They came in quickly, also. I'm so happy we purchased these as a replacement for our old stools. The wood isn't a smooth finish, but there are no edges that are too rough snag clothing or skin. I'm not one to ever post reviews, but this product is worth it!
