Nice looking Lego Lamborghini Countach for Display

Overall the build is enjoyable. The only thing I didn't like before buying this set is that the lights don't pop up, but I am not going to complain about that because I saw pass that and still decided to buy this set. I wish the rear tires would be 1 piece but maybe that would add to the cost even more since other new custom pieces like the rims may need to be created when it's already over priced in many online video reviews I've watched. I think this set is overpriced but if you're a Countach fan, you may see pass this. Some people prefer this set to be in another color other than white but I do like white in this case because I can display this with my other Countach Speed Champion set. This Lamborghini Countach do look nice and cool on display. I do not recommend this unless you are a Lamborghini Countach die hard fan.

What's with the tires?

I really enjoyed the build on this Countach. Lots of interesting techniques involved. I progressed through the steps without issues until it came to the wheels and tires. So the rear of the car is supposed to have the thin rims and tires put on first, then the lambo wheels put on second. Problem is the axles aren't long enough for both sets of tires. Not sure what I have done wrong but seems weird I didn't run into any issues until the second from last step of the build.

The Joy Is Back!

Finally, after waiting for years, Lego has released a kit that gives me hope that the company is still invested in producing high-quality kits for adults! This kit was a joy to build and is a highly accurate reproduction of this 80s sports car. What sold me was the printed pieces and ZERO stickers! Lego, the more kits you sell with printed pieces and no stickers, the more kits I will be buying from you. I look forward to more sports cars in this scale in the near future.

Lamborghini Countable

Wow! This build was extremely enjoyable and Lego’s attention to detail is unmatched. They even packaged the windshield in plastic so it wouldn’t get damaged during shipping. The doors swing upwards, the engine is highly detailed, and the frunk opens. Overall this was a fun build that I would highly recommend!

Made with Love or Logic?

After 40 years of being the most iconic car in the world, Lego has finally created a giant model of the Lamborghini Countach. It couldn't have come at a better time, as Lego has utilized a variety of newer parts and some original pieces developed for just this set. With such resources, one would expect an absolute banger of a set but like the original Countach, there's always a few charms behind the grandeur. Overall, it looks and feels like a Countach. It has the iconic scissor doors, the V12, steering wheel, etc. The proportions are generally great and there's some quite clever details around those iconic taillights. The side NACA duct is spot on. Lego may not have had the parts in the 1980s to pull this off but boy, do they use their modern parts library for this. And those bespoke OZ wheels. Nice! However, there are moments that suggest a momentary lack of passion in an otherwise stellar build. The first and considered elephant in the room is that there are no pop up headlights. They did it for the F40 Creator set back in the day. Why not spend the time revising the front to do so here? There's plenty of ways to achieve it and some people are modifying their builds to do so. Secondly, the front bonnet is way too depressed compared to the front wheel arches on either side. And lastly, the famous Gandini arch over the back wheel is represented by a typical arch. These are some of the moments where one knows not every detail can be captured but some of them are what gave the Lamborghini Countach its passion in form. As for the instruction book, it was logical and laid out but not quite as celebratory as the Speed Champion build. There were a few quotes here and there like the Technic UCS 1:8 builds but felt cold compared to the subject, and no final WOW! build is complete step either. Now the quote that the Countach was designed by Bertone is technically correct but most people in car culture attributed it to Gandini, who worked for Bertone but achieved worldwide fame for this and other car designs. Now all of those faults are minor compared to what is actually delivered for the price. It's a giant Lego Countach, the stuff of dreams. It looks like a Countach and it's been a challenging MOC for anyone for the last forty years. Lego has produced an excellent example that will stun even perfectionists.

Greatest Lego Set Ever

I've been waiting over 40 years for this set and finally Lego has created the Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole and its the most beautiful and most exciting lego set I've ever owned. It has taken be back to 1983 and my bedroom where I had a poster of this car. Thank you Lego for the trip of nostalgia

Wheels Matter

This is a really nice build. For those of you having trouble fitting the wheels it's important you fit the wheels correctly. The front and inner rear wheels need to have shallow sides facing out while the outer rear wheels need to have the deep sides facing out. This is easy to overlook in the instructions.

Favorite Car

Even with all the other Lamborghinis that have come out in the last 25/30 years. The Countach has always been my favorite. I remember seeing it for the first time in the movie Cannonball Run. I did make a smaller version of this in speed champions. I have a suggestion for LEGO, if you want to sell more Legos, offer these cars in three different colors. I’m just enough of enough to buy all three. I did buy three back to the future DeLorean’s and have them displayed in all three modes. I would love to see a red, and a black version of the same car. And yes I would buy them.

Amazing Set

The set was in general easy to build but you have to be concentrating to build it in the right direction and use the correct parts. I started and couldn’t get of it until it was finished. Amazing engineering work to get the details of the real car. It’s impressed me on each set again and again. I would love to see the realistic details of the car appearance also in the technical side of the set, with suspension, engine, etc. I’m missing this a lot when I built it. One big minus on this set are the tires. They could use more filigrane tires and not the truck like they did. Not perfect but acceptable are the rear rims, two on each side makes it a little bit weird. But over all an amazing set with a lot of fun to build and look at it on have shelf.

Amazing engineering

The state of the art of Lego engineering never ceases to amaze me, and I've been building for almost 40 years. Solid, stable build that looks amazing. The doors are SO satisfying to open and close. The rear wing is easy to knock off, but it was purely cosmetic on the real car too
