I’ve been pressure washing houses for about 10 yrs. This is the best washer I have bought. It also comes at a good price. I have had no problem with the Simpson motor. I couldn’t pay for the overpriced Honda motor. From my experience Honda makes a good motor but the pressure washer usually wears out before any motor I’ve ever had. This washer has so much power it is hard to hold onto if you have it at full psi. It does adjust, but does not have a gauge. I just bought a new gauge to see how much power it actually has with my 150 ft hose. Great product, easy to start.

Bought the Simpson 4240 at Lowes along with a Surface Cleaner. First use was our front driveway and side walks - the combo did a GREAT job. Between the Simpson's high pressure/high volume output with a stainless steel 15 " surface cleaner - the job went quickly with wonderful results.

More power than I need, had a hard time holding wand from recoil... take the crome off a trailer hitch!!! had to turn down the volume on this one pressure is off the hook! Great machine, no issues yet. Works like a champ! Very pleased and would recommend this unit to all...

Bought this unit last year and it has preformed flawlessly each time. I really like the 4 GPM water flow. Washes away the stuff you wash off. Great Honda engine, first pull start ! I really like things that start when they are supposed to! I agree with the idea of a swivel end that connects to the wand. That would be a good idea. I also like the long wand. Easy on the back! I looked at several pressure washers and after all the research and comparing of different models and brands, I am so glad I went the extra money and got this heavy duty unit. Easy enough to handle on the little jobs and is a beast when it comes to the tough stuff. I would buy another one of these with no questions. Get you one. You will be glad you did. And no I am not a Simpson employee. I just really really really like this unit.

Best machine I have used. Plenty of power, well made. I used to clean concrete at large church property. Cleans great, fast and easy. Seriously good engine, pump, accessories and frame. Easy to move around and has a long hose, reducing time needed to move machine.

I have only been able to use this twice because it's getting close to winter. The times I have used it, I am very happy with the power and the engine/pump combo. My one gripe that would probably get me to rate it at 4.5 stars is the hose being so stiff. Especially on the colder day, it was a lot to wrestle but I keep telling myself that will make it last longer. Hopefully, that's the case.

This is my second year with this unit, I still give it a heafty five star rating. Pros: - Honda kills it with thier easy start feature, one pull starts. - The Honda GX390 Commercial Series OHV Engine is thrifty on gas...runs smooth as well. - The overall package is well balanced and easy to move around...perfect size and quality of tires. - Very rugged construction, the unit is built to be worked. - Well balanced (but heavy) if one needs to pick it up and put it in the back of a truck bed. - My unit came with the Comet pump, zero complaints. Cons: - Attaching the garden hose was awkward for my large hands (to close to the motor and under the pressure hose coupler) so I extended that connection point just outside the frame and yet still is protected by the tire. Connecting the garden hose is now simple. - There is nothing to complain about with this machine, but I guess if one has to say something negative....the hose does not like to swivel at the wand*, therefore one has to wrassle with the stiff hose when changing the orientation of the wand. Overall: Love the 4,200 psi w/ 4 gallon feed, I don't use it always, but I have it when I need to get serious. I also really love the 4,200 size because it allows me to run 100 - 150 ft of hose and still have pressure at the nozzle. * One day I'm going to have to buy the proper high pressure swivel for the hose to wand.

I bought this i think in August of this year and I am super pleased with it The pressure washer has more than enough power to clean anything you want in half the time you used too with lower psi washers The only draw back for me is that I am a 73 year old man and it is a little hard for me to pull start wish I would have bought electric start This is by far the best pressure washer I have ever owned I have had three others Would buy again in a heartbeat

the unit just as presented in ads. while this unit will be used in my farm application it will perform a commercial level job. I compared many brands and spoke with my brother who has a cleaning business. he had a smaller simpson it works great. he is waiting for my review to order one. Please note to anyone reading this review be honest with yourself as to want type of job you are doing. don't buy less and expect more.

I live in the US Virgin Islands had this shipped. Lots of cleaning after 2 cat 5 hurricanes. Only used a couple of times and so far does a good job. Cleans concrete well and adjustable pressure on the pump also allows you us use it on lighter things like screens. This is not being used for commercial purposes so I hope it lasts.
