Cheap

Socks are cheap and thin. They developed holes by just looking at them. They are low cost, so wear them for as long as they hold up, then throw them in the trash.

Way too thin and synthetic

The socks are super thin and don't feel good when on. They lowered the cotton content and added synthetic fabrics and they just suck now. PLEASE Bring back the old style with much more cotton so the socks will last.

Not the same quality as before.

Significant decline in quality! Have purchased these and the longer version numerous times over the years and they have always been great. As soon as I received this order, I could tell they had been changed and were much thinner. I have always had good experience with Member's Mark products in the past, so figured I would give them a chance. After the first wash they started to fray, and look worse than the older ones I had from last year. Went to the store hoping to find more of the older style, no luck. I do not recommend.

Comfortable and Great Quality!

These socks are exactly what I was hoping for. They hit just above the ankle, high enough that they stay in place and don’t get pulled down like lower-cut socks, but not so high that they feel awkward. The fit is great, and they’re incredibly soft and comfortable. After multiple washes, they’ve held up really well with no pilling or stretching. Highly recommend!

BUYER'S REMORSE

Have bought these member's Mark men's athletic quarter socks from Sam's club for at least several years. They have always been reasonably thick well made durable cotton socks that have lasted for years. I don't remember ever wearing out a pair of them whether it was walking, jogging, running or just for everyday wear and for using around the yard with a weed eater or lawn mower. Mine were usually retired/ thrown away when they became so heavily grass stained that they could not be made white again. But they never wore out. Went to Sam's club today to get a couple of packs of fresh new ones and instead of the old dependable cotton quarter socks they have this new product. This new slick product has paper thin quarter socks that would be more appropriately worn with loafers or women's dress shoes, they certainly are not athletic socks. They are cut differently also. Started reading the reviews where enough of the reviews were consistent in that these new thin socks are essentially throw away socks of one time use like what you buy from the dollar store. They certainly are not the same quality or caliber of the quarter socks that they were selling before. These are as thin as wearing a pair of women's hose. They're not the same thickness, they do not stay in place, according to reviews if they don't develop holes the first time you wear them they develop holes in them when they're laundered. The material pills up when being worn, the material moves around in the shoes when being worn, the material separates and develops holes when being worn, and the material develops holes in the washing machine too. Bought a pack today before reading the reviews tonight and will be returning them tomorrow. I'm just glad that I did not throw my arm loads of old ankle socks away before going to buy replacements because if this is what they have replaced it with these new ones are useless. Will have to try researching the internet to see how to get the grass stains out of the old ones because they don't have any holes in them and are still wearable and preferable to these new paper thin slick useless disposable socks. What a shame. Sam's Club had a good dependable years and years long tested and true well made reasonably thick cotton athletic quarter sock and somebody made the decision to dump the good product and substitute this. Please just acknowledge that your customers were happy with a cotton athletic medium thick quarter ankle shock for sports and working around the yard and were not looking for an athletic dress sock that is paper thin, falls apart while being worn and in the washing machine, etc etc. Kindly restock the earlier version.
