Great machine

I have had this for several years … I got it when we had a horrible year for fleas… the steam gets hot enough to kill all life stages and we have been a flea free house since!! I am excited to see the new Neat + as I would like to clean longer than 50 minutes

Great way to clean and sanitize

I have had the Dupray Neat Plus for a few weeks and have been very pleased with it. I live in Oregon and after a Smokey summer from wildfires, everything had a film on it. The Dupray Neat Plus did a wonderful job of removing that windows, floors, appliances and the car with just distilled water. I Ven took it to my daughter’s business, a wellness center, and was impressed with how it cleaned her floors and window tracks. The ability to reach temperatures and refill it quickly while hot was very valuable.

Great product!

Picked this up for my girlfriend as she absolutely loved the original Neat Steam Cleaner. Decided to try it for the interior of my car (leather) and it worked amazing! Normally I’d pay someone to clean my car and do the detailing, but now I can easily do it myself with nothing but water. Great product, highly recommend.

The only "Plus" is the price - the rest is a minus

I purchased this as what I thought would be an upgrade from the original Neat, which I purchased 3 years ago and needed to replace because the hose started to fray at its connection to the steamer. What’s important to me about a steamer is the amount, pressure and heat of the steam. And I liked all those things about the original Neat. It had a lot of pressure, a lot of steam, and the steam was very hot - which equates to a “dry-er” steam, because it evaporates so fast, resulting in things getting better sanitized without getting soaked. I knew what the specs were for those qualities on the original Neat, but couldn’t find them for the Neat Plus. Assuming they would be the same as the original Neat would prove to be a big mistake. The only information I could find on the difference between the two was that the 6’ hose on the Neat Plus was shorter than the original Neat (10’), the Neat Plus had a much shorter initial heat up time and that you can refill the Neat Plus while using it. I didn’t mind so much, stopping and waiting 10 minutes for the original Neat to heat back up after refills, but I also knew that being able to refill while in use was a nice feature of only much, MUCH more expensive steam cleaners. So all other things being equal, except for the shorter hose, I went for the Neat Plus thinking I was getting a good deal, paying only 25% more for such a premium added feature. But all other things definitely were NOT equal between the two models. It’s true that the Neat Plus will start steaming after only a couple of minutes, but if you let up off the trigger and stop using it for a couple of minutes, when you go to pull the trigger again, you have to wait - almost a minute - for the steam to come back up to full power. To make matters worse, if you kept the trigger pulled for prolonged periods of time the output would peter out. The steamer couldn't keep up with prolonged demand. Sadly ironic, as the signature feature of this model is that you never have to stop for refills. And a huge pain. With the original Neat, once it initially heated up, as long as you kept the power turned on, as soon as you’d pull its trigger you’d immediately get the full power of its steam - every time you pulled the trigger, and as long as there was water in the tank it maintained full force no matter how long you kept it pulled. And it keeps getting worse, as even at full force, I found the amount, pressure and temperature of the steam from the Neat Plus to be wimpy, compared to that of the original Neat. About that shorter hose on the Neat Plus that I didn’t think would be much of a sacrifice? Yeah, it most definitely is. Having to lug that little cube around behind you is a real pain, and even an outright limitation on what you can reach in high places, that the 10’ hose on the original Neat avoids. In fact, about the only thing I can find that's the same between the two models is the very, VERY high price of the necessary consumables for the steam cleaners, that you can only purchase from Dupray. If you want poorer performance that’s harder to use and costs 25% more, and can wait only 2 minutes instead of 10 to get it, then the Neat Plus is for you.

No regrets with this purchase.

I've used this to clean two bathrooms since I bought it. It heats up quickly, and comes with a nice array of attachments. The water lasts a long time. I think I had to refill it once when cleaning the larger of the two bathrooms. And it works, but people should be aware of the following, although these points would likely apply to all steam cleaners except for maybe the most expensive commercial models. The steam that comes out of the end of the wand is only really hot right at the tip. At maybe 2 inches away it's basically just hot to warm water. (But don't put you hand there to find out how hot it is.) To get a good clean you need to use the little brush attachments, or the cloth pad. But these do work well. I didn't find that the squeegee attachment for cleaning glass didn't work as well just using Windex or a microfiber cloth and plain water. It left marks that I had to clean up the normal way. And there will be a bit of a watery mess to deal with. When cleaning a sink or inside of a shower, this isn't a problem. But for example if you are cleaning the outside of a shower you will need some towels to soak up the water that collects on the floor. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. One thing I would like however on a maintenance side of things, would be the ability to descale the unit. Buying distilled water to use in this all the time isn't great. I'm using filtered and softened water in it. I know from experience that there will eventually be some scale build up in the unit. We get very little of that with other devices, but with them I can clean that. It would be nice to know if there is some procedure that we can use to clean the units every once in a while.

WORST PRODUCT IVE EVER BOUGHT

I bought this a month ago and was extremely disappointed in the product. I have it a month to see if it would grow on me but I continue to be disappointed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Leaves a TON of water behind so you have to wipe it all up after AND still doesn’t remove the mess. So not only do I have to clean up the water I then have to go back with a spray bottle & clean it the good old fashion way anyway. The cord doesn’t wrap up nicely. The water doesn’t come out hot right away despite the green ready light indicator & it shoots out everywhere at first. Makes more of a mess than the original mess

Easy to use and fill

Very easy to use and get started. The tank holds more than I thought. The ability to add water "on the fly" is excellent. I had a more expensive steam cleaner that suddenly stopped working. This is a much simpler version that I hope will last much longer.

Makes Cleaning Quick!

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I am loving it!! It makes cleaning so quick and easy. I have a lot of grease buildup on my stovetop and range and this steam cleaner makes it so easy to take care of without the use of harsh chemicals, only steam! My only critiques would be that the squeegee attachment leaks when cleaning windows and I wish that the pressure were stronger, but I'm sure the more industrial options provide that extra steaming "umph". Overall, I am very, very happy with my purchase. I absolutely love the continuous watering function and that you don't have to wait for the unit to cool down, depressurize, then heat back up when it runs out of water.

Works great better cleaning results than chemicals

I used my steamer to clean a rental properties, kitchen cabinets that had terrible grease stains all over them. I have first tried a degreaser without any success. This steamer brought them back to a new condition without scrubbing or chemicals. I am thrilled with my steamer.

Sucks - Max Temp 130F

I’ll be returning this if I can. It’s max temp. is 130F, so would work fine as a facial steamer and nothing more. Very disappointed. Also, there is so much water expelled when starting up - it’s definitely not even close to hitting the temps. it claims it can.
