Strong lead and functional design that makes this mechanical pencil one that you would choose to use from multiple options.

Metal tip where the lead comes out keeps detaching. Had to super glue multiple times.  Very disappointed!

I love the way this pencil lead writes, and the eraser is smooth as silk, but… the design is awkward. The button to advance the lead is right where you hold the pencil to write so you must turn it just right or it’s uncomfortable.  Next up, the eraser turns back into the pencil while you are erasing, and you have to turn it back out every time. Silly engineering mistakes in an otherwise awesome pencil.

Bought this because I previously had a mechanical pencil with a twistable eraser by another brand that lasted me several years. This is not at all the same. The metal tip from which the lead emerges continually falls off of the pencil. Initially, it feels like the lead has broken, but then I have to look around to find this metal piece to put back on before advancing the lead to continue using again.

Do Not Recommend

Got these for my 3rd grader after the other mechanical pencils she had were useless because the erasers would be gone so quickly. And then it was near impossible to get the eraser out. These erasers last a long time and easy to take out if you do have to replace the eraser and when refilling the lead. The only negative I’ve noticed is sometimes when erasing, the eraser will twist and start to go back in. Depending on how you’re erasing. Other than that it’s perfect and I  will continue to purchase this type of pencil.
