(No hard spots that do not erase but smudge.) I enjoy using a pencil while writing quick notes and thus is an excellent pencil. Good job, BIC.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I straddle two lanes when it comes to pencils: Dixon Ticonderoga #2 OR BIC mechanicals. The biggest complaint with any pencil is broken lead, but no traditional pencil can reliably produce as consistent a stroke as a mechanical. Solve the brittle lead, and we can save a whole lot of trees.

It writes so smooth and sharp and it's easy to sharpen if you will, with just the click of the button on the side. It's refillable too, the eraser and the lead. That makes it even better to use in my opinion. It feels more like a pen than a pencil to write with, which I like the most.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These BIC break resistant mechanical pencils are so much better than all the other mechanical pencils. They last 100 times longer. My 4th grader had been using the same pencils for weeks now. The eraser works good and lasts a long time.

I end up purchasing multiple packages to replace the pencils. This break resistant pencil holds up to intense pressure. My oldest son is hard on mechanical pencils. This pencil held up during his homework and test taking. I highly recommend this pencil.

This pencil is a lot better and it doesn't break as bad as the regular ones and last a lot longer. You won't be disappointed.

I’m able to write a ton with minimal breakage and it actually has a great eraser! I also love the design- I write very close to the paper but this pencil gives me next to no hand cramping that I experience with some pens and pencils. Will happily purchase more of these when I run out of lead!

I have always liked mechanical pencils and used them often when I was in school but they would always break easily and that was a problem. This product solves that problem in the best way. I will be buying more in the future and would recommend to anyone who uses pencils often for school or other task.
