Robot vacuum technology FINALLY done right
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 2-in-1 Robot vacuum really changes the game for robot vacuums and it truly is a NeverTouch vacuum/mop. I’ve had my fair share of trouble with past vacuums (getting stuck on a cliff, a necklace, or whatever you forgot about under the bed) and it seemed like the pre-clean before the vacuum started was too much trouble. Shark really has it figured out and they’ve created a vacuum that is low maintenance (empties into the dock and fills for mopping in the dock), versatile AND ACTUALLY CLEANS. First you let the vacuum map out the house, then you can assign rooms and “no go zones” and target your cleaning all from the app. From there, you can assign schedules (vacuum and /or mop) or start a run. The vacuuming is amazing and I haven’t had to intervene. The mopping (also amazing) will detect carpet and lift the pad. Technology, from the robot to the base to the app, is amazing when done correctly and Shark has this down.
Good, clean maintenance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy dismount and nice sweep. Clean mopping almost every time. It has not been stuck. Even with clutter(kids toys) it has not been stuck! Very high end design and features. Does not go off at night!

Clean floors forevermore!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this little vacuum! It is such a time and energy saver. Pros: - Freshly clean floors every morning!!!!!! The impact of this on your day cannot be understated, my house feels overall much cleaner. - Great suction and good mopping (Picks up dirt and kibble), I had no idea how much fine dust was around my house - It’s quiet and my cats adjusted well to its presence - It remaps the floor before each nightly cleaning to accommodate for objects on the floor - It ends up actually making me keep my floors clean, because each night I think “Oh no! If I don’t pick up, the vacuum won’t get to that area!” instead of just ignoring clutter Con: - You get one map. If you want to bring it upstairs/downstairs you must erase your map and start anew, which is a bit of a process. I assume this is most likely due to the robot maybe not being able to locate the dock if moved? Not the worst thing in the world, just a minor consideration. - Doesn’t spit out bad objects. Found it one morning glowing red near its dock with a wet napkin that had fallen to the floor in its mouth.
Has major issues, there are better options on the market
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TLDR; In theory, the product sounds great, however, has several bugs as it relates to the mopping feature. So much so, you are better off not using the feature at all and just using this product for vacuuming, at which point, you could buy a nicer Shark vacuum for a lot less. As a baseline, I have used multiple other robot vacuums (one by Roomba, and one by Shark) before using the Shark PowerDetect 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop with Never Touch Base. In general, I have always loved robot vacuums as they are efficient and keep my house clean with minimal effort. I did like the Shark PowerDetect, however I ran into a handful of major technical and design issues. I'm not trying to be overly critical, as the vacuum is innovative and has a lot of potential if these issues were to be addressed. Mapping Bugs To start, I ran into a major bug relating to house mapping. House mapping is when the vacuum explores your house and creates a layout. With my other Shark robot vacuum, I was able to make adjustments to the map such as moving the sides of the rooms and creating subsections within my house. However, with this vacuum, it automatically tries to define the boundaries of the rooms in my house without complete accuracy, and does not allow for any manual adjustments. This seems to be more of a software / app issue, as it was consistent on both my android and apple devices. Unreliable Mopping Second, Shark's mopping technology also has many bugs. In order to use the mopping feature, I have to start and stop the mopping "job" at least 2-3 times for a proper start-up. Otherwise, when starting a mopping job, I ran into issues like: (1) erroring out after 10 minutes of trying to fill the robot's water resevoir, (2) the vacuum would arrive at the designated start point and clean the same spot until there is a massive puddle of water, and (3) leak water all over the base and bottom of the vacuum, soaking the components and dust collection bin. Overall, still seems to be more of a software issue that could fixed via an update. However, until then, the mopping feature is extremely unreliable and useless. Design Flaw Lastly, I am unsure if this is an engineering oversight or a defective product, but water from the mopping feature intermixes with the dust collected from the vacuum, creating a muddy paste within the dustbin area and within the filters. This cakes and coats everything, blocks filters, and creates a hair / dirt mess all over the internal components. Trying to clean this was very difficult and at this point, I don't plan to use the mopping feature anymore as it creates more work than saves. This ultimately leaves me with a normal robot vacuum which I could get for a lot less investment. Overall Rating Below is how I would rate the product in the following categories. This is considering my experience with other robot vacuums, as well as the issues noted above. Overall Cleaning Performance - 2 out of 5 Vacuum - 3 out of 5, not as thorough as vacuum-only robots but still gets the job done Mopping - 1 out of 5, feature unusable due to bugs and design flaws Battery Life - 5 out of 5, can clean a 900 sq.ft. Apartment on a single charge (however this product has a feature to go charge and resume cleaning once battery is restored) Noise Level - 3 out of 5, wouldn't run while watching TV or sleeping, but not loud if in another room Maintenance - 1 out of 5, requires regular cleaning when using both mop and vacuum features Versatility - 2 out of 5, good on different types of flooring (rug / wood), not good for using both mop and vacuum features

Best investment for a cleaner home!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned a few robot vacuums over the years and the Shark Power Detect 2 in 1 is honestly my favorite. The fact that it’s a vacuum/mop comb with hands free emptying of dirt and filling of mop water is so convenient! The dirt is trapped using HEPA filtration and only needs emptying every 60 days. I have 3 kids and 2 dogs, using my shark twice daily, once to vacuum and at night to deep clean ( vacuum and mop ) takes a lot off my plate as a stay at home mama. Another feature I love is whether it needs to refill water, empty dust pan or recharge (which she will inform you what she’s doing) she goes right back where she left off to complete the job. Lastly, this vacuum duo is much quieter than the competitor, which is always a bonus!! Hands down if you’re in the market for a robot vacuum.. this is the one!!
Absolutely game changer in my cleaning routine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this thing and run it nearly every night before bed. It’s quiet enough that it doesn’t bother anyone. It’s easy to set up and map out the house. The never stuck feature works perfect and it is completely self sufficient. I only dropped off one star because the app is a tiny bit clunky. Additionally it gets stuck on my area rug in my office (it’s shag) and there’s no way to direct it to skip that area in the room so I simply cannot use it where I have carpet. I cannot believe I’ve gone all these years without a smart vacuum. It will be impossible to live without now.
The greatest thing to have blessed my home
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little robot is the best thing to have ever blessed my home! Setting up the device was a breeze. It took just a couple of minutes to set up on the app. I have 4 dogs and so dog hair and dirt tracks are a constant in my house. Having the mop and vacuum option in one is so convenient to clean their messes. Robot is a bit loud, but is what I expected from a device with functions that it has. Battery life is always at 50% after mop/vaccing the entire living room and kitchen (it’s a lot of open square footage.)
Time saver!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this Shark 2 in one for about a week now. So far, i am pretty impressed with this product. It saves me so much time, and it's so nice not to worry about mopping the floors each day. Time is precious, and this robot vacuum gives me more time with my kids and other things I need to get done. The design is nice and sleek. The maintenance is rather easy to keep up with. I am very thankful that it cleans it's self. The noise level from the vacuum is not bothersome. My pets were very curious at first, but they now understand it's just a normal thing now. The battery life so far has been great! I love that it is a 2 in 1 and i don't have to worry about picking up all the small debris the kids and the dog leave behind.
AMAZING!!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this robot vacuum is absolutely AMAZING!! I get so excited to turn it on and watch it - it cleans so well and on a full charge it will clean your entire home. It is easy to either mop or vacuum (low maintenance) and it is so quiet. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone!!!
Dirt and dust beware
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bad boy right here can do it all. All nooks of hidden dirt are no longer safe with this around. It is able to lift itself up, grab a mop pad, and sense anything around it. This thing will map out your house and then allow you choose which parts were okay to work in and choose which rooms are fine to stay as is. While this may not be super quiet, you barely notice it when it gets into another room. My only downside I’ve seen, is the battery doesn’t seem good enough to do the whole house in one go. It takes a break to charge to before finishing.
