Great Purchase

I love my Openrun Pro headphones. They sound great while still allowing me to be aware of surrounding noise or conversations. I typically listen at low volume, but I can crank them up when i hear a song i like and they still sound great. They are comfortable enough to wear all day, even when i am playing golf. Battery pretty much lasts all day.

I wanted an upgrade not a down grade

I LOVE shokz OPEN RUN headphones and was excited to hear of the new open run pro. Sure there are slight minor improvements such as 10 hrs battery life and a 9th generation technology. However 8hrs vs 10 is not much of a difference and 8th gen vs 9 gen who can really tell the difference? The BIGGEST nail in the coffin is the MAJOR downgrade in water resistance. An IPP from 67 down to 55 is shameful especially at the price increase. Then there are the cosmetics of the product. If I'm buying an update I want COLOR CHOICES and in this the pro fails miserably. To begin with the OLD ridiculously larger models are EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE and yet they are the ones which offer more color choices instead of the cozy better shaped minis. So between the downgrades the minor improvements and the lack of choices in the Minis I have decided to go back to my Open run mini. There's no reason to upgrade to a downgrade. Hopefully shokz will come out with a newer model with more mini choices which is an actual upgrade especially in regards to something as important as water resistance!

Great for running; not super high audio performance however

Use as phone is excellent, microphone picks up well and calls come through clearly. Use as headphones for music is ok, not really comparable to a high quality in ear or over ear headphone. Volume isn’t there, clarity isn’t there, bass isn’t there. For use running they work fine, nice to have music in the background and still be able to hear what’s going on. They stay on quite well which is the biggest point in their favor.

try it, I did and I love them

Very light, comfortable, not a hinderance for glasses at all, stay on tight, the bass is there with good volume, if you really want to hear the bass plug your years while listening it will overwhelm you. I didn’t believe they were worth it/actually bone conducting until I tried this. When you plug your ears and hear it more.. wow. Talk about surround sound too, like a personal life soundtrack. Great sound quality overall, definitely worth the cost and nice to be able to hear your surroundings/people (at a medium-quieter volume, and pause at a moments notice without having to take anything out of your ear. Very fast charge, very good battery life, easy to connect and control. Try it, free returns for 40 days or whatever!

Disappointed in volume control outdoors

The sound quality and volume is worse on the new “open pro” than the original shox. I used to be able to walk down the street with traffic driving by and still hear. With the newest version the speaker just doesn't perform the same. I still love them, but disappointed in the newest version.

Comfortable, durable, great for physical activity!

Very comfortable headphones, sometimes I forget I'm even wearing them! Great for active lifestyles and for work. Also nice if you need to be able to hear some of the things going on around you along with your music. Battery life is pretty good as well. Biggest downside sound quality is just decent but not superb and the volume maxes out lower than I wish it did in some situations.

Even better than I'd imagined!

I'd had the previous iteration, Aeropex, under the Aftershokz branding. I loved those things, owned three pairs overall. I was a little taken aback that these were slightly more expensive - I would have said the Aeropex were expensive, before I'd heard them. And it's the same with these. Once you hear them, you will know they're worth that price point. I did a side by side comparison between the Shokz OpenRun Pro and the Aeropex, and there's no question. Shokz took really really good headphones and made them great. The sound is clearer, and omg that bass though. I'm listening to a song with a bass drop as I type, and let me tell you, the OpenRun Pro captures it beautifully. I've also been told the sound quality of the mic is considerably better when used as a handsfree for phone calls. The quick charging is also amazing. Nothing worse than playing a game on stream and having my headphones go out, knowing that's about it. But with the OpenRun Pro, I'm able to throw them on the charger for 5 or 10 minutes, and they'll be good to go for a surprisingly long time! Overall, I've got nothing bad to say about these headphones. I'm legit trying to think of something, but nothing is coming to mind. I think the worst thing about them is that I only have the one pair right now :)

Good

The headset is fantastic. This is my second set, my first was lost during a work related incident. I have recommended these to coworkers and family and they have bought there own. This model the battery life is not near the 10 hours, as listed. I can get maybe 2 hours of use in a day. The quick recharge helps some during a day, but I have remember to bring the charger cord with my when I leave home.

Happy Driver

Happy with my OpenRun Pro headphones. Bought these mainly to listen to music when working in the yard and to replace the inoperable radio in my work trucks a few days a week. I mow, weedeat, and pressure wash with these around the house. With my protective safety earmuffs on and these, I can hear my music easily. It's a little harder to hear over the sound of the old Freightliner and Peterbilt trucks at work, but I adjust where they sit and make do. I obviously don't want to cover/plug my ears while CDL driving. Actually easier to hear in the front end loader than the trucks with the turbo whine. I can hear my music, directions from maps, calls, texts etc. Very pleased with my headsets.

Overall good but with some limitations

Pros: Good enough in settings when there is little background noise. Comfortable, good battery life, look good, easy to pair, easy to charge, nice carrying case. Great for hands-free phone calls. Cons: Sound quality is decent but not great. No way to adjust headset so it’s a little more snug against the back of my head (it sticks out, so there’s no way to wear these while resting my head on a pillow). Absolutely impossible to hear anything at all on an airplane.
