I tried a pair of

I tried a pair of the Trekz Air that my sister had before buying these. The OpenRun Pro feel better in pretty much every way and I'm totally in love. I've yet to be in a position where I've need to worry about a charge despite using them pretty constantly throughout my work day.

Fantastic!

Spend the money! Buy the product! Shokz will change your life! But seriously, they're fantastic and worth every penny. I do everything in them, from working to exercising. I even fall asleep in them from time to time with no issue, although this is probably not recommended by the manufacturer.

Great Set. Hope these last longer than my last pair.

Definitely one of my faves. Hoping for the new battery to last longer than my last pair. Very comfortable and convenient. Best when running and biking, because you remain with the use of your ears. mind you, I used these everyday, I’ve had them so I definitely put them to good use. Last pair lasted me 1yr, 7months. Had to get a new pair to replace the old ones. Stay tuned.

Slight repositioning sometimes needed

Excellent charge life. Lightweight. Fit is very good, but sometimes the part that goes around the head drops down. I find myself repeatedly pulling back and up on the headset to reposition the “vibration speakers” into place closer to my ears. Because of this, I also wish the volume went just a bit louder.

Try Them!

Refurbished but looked and worked like new. First time not using typical ear buds or plantronics for running. I was a little worried they would chafe my ears or head, but no irritation after running ~5 miles daily for weeks. Highly recommend OpenRun Pros for running.

Sub-standard (worst) audio quality on Mac

I bought the headphones since the were promoted with "Premium Sound Quality" and compatibility with Mac. Unfortunately, there are two very disappointing showstoppers (in a nutshell version): - the headphone mutes automatically when connecting to the mac (mitigation described below) - the headphone mutes itself in the middle of calls spontaneously (mitigation described below) - the audio quality is really sub-standard when using the mic (Shokz know, but not interested/able to fix it) --- Long version: Muting when connecting to Mac: An "Aggregation Device" with the openrun pro >mic< needs to be created in the "Audio Midi Setup". This will mitigate the issue. Random Muting Issue: The Shokz support pointed me to a 3rd party chrome plugin which disables the "automatic gain control" in chrome. Unfortunately, not every application provides such an option, so the random muting continues when using these applications. Search for "Disable Automatic Gain Control" by Joey Watts in the Chrome Web Store. Audio Quality: After several rounds with the Shokz support I got now a mail saying that they are aware about the audio issues with MacBooks but not interested or able to fix it. If i'd like to use the headset it with a Mac and want to have better audio quality, I'd should go and buy another of their headphones - the OpenComm UC. This comes with an USB plug, which is not acceptable when buying a bluetooth headset. It's 2022, not 1990. A macbook air comes with 2 usb ports, and I'm not going to block one of them permanently to use a bluetooth headset. If you manually select the laptops built-in mic, the audio quality "magically" becomes good. So it's simply a bug they're declining to fix.

With the exception of Bose,

With the exception of Bose, I've owned and tried just about every brand of Bluetooth headset/earphone available for the last 15 -20 years, and I can say without a doubt, this is my most enjoyably treasured headset I've ever had the pleasure of wearing and using. I hope they continue to make these for years to come. I'm a consultant and spend a tremendous amount of time talking on the phone, and when I'm not I often listen to audio books. They are great!

Muddier than aeropex

I’ve used the aeropex for years now, and finally took the opportunity of Christmas sales to upgrade to a newer model. To my disappointment, this headset sounds muddier than my older ones, and it’s a noticeable decrease in quality. Think I’m going to return them. I love bone conduction headphones, and this brand specifically, but try as I might, I’m disappointed in these. (And to be clear: they came in perfect condition even though they were refurbished. )

Cheap for the price

They feel super flimsy. Worse than my openmove, opencomm 2, noticeable audio clicks when changing volume. Not great connectivity. The headphones dont magnetize together they fight eachother. No USB C so now you need extra cords everywhere. At least the openmove were cheap. Kind of small barely fit my head. I ordered normal guess they should make a large size like the mini

Amazing sound quality and comfortable

Easy to wear and has amazing sound. I have single-sided deafness, but I can hear from both sides because of bone conduction technology. I like the fact that it's not completely covering up my good ear and I can still hear outside noises. They were very easy to connect to my iPhone. They are very comfortable to wear and work out in. I would highly recommend them to family and friends.
