I brought a Sony Tv that had google tv. It was so frustrating to watch the programing. They kept buffering and some would not load. After purchasing this Roku product I had no trouble at all. Coupled with the HDMI Sony picture quality it's all fantastic. Get One!

My 5 year old son is the main roku fan in the house. He enjoyed our standard roku so much that he dressed as a roku remote for Halloween. When we told customer service, they sent him a box of swag. Including a t-shirt that’s his favorite. We upgraded our main tv to the Roku ultra after that and it’s been flawless

We have a smart TV that wasn’t being smart and we lost all of streaming apps. I was told about the ROKU and it saved me from buying a new TV! It was changed our TV time. We gained amazing app and great live TV. ROKU ULTRA is affordable and works so amazingly!

My Roku Ultra has been working flawlessly for more than seven years! My 2021 Roku TV can't compete with the audio/video technology, features, and high-speed performance of my 2017 Roku Ultra device... I would definitely recommend buying the latest Roku Ultra edition to anyone who wants to experience a flawless streaming entertainment solution!!!

I love this Roku ultra, it’s sleek and can be hidden. The voice remote and phone app integration is perfect. Had a couple instances of it freezing, restarted everything and it was fine. I think this was due to the YouTube app, which seems to be a YouTube programming problem because it does it everywhere I go. It automatically updates the hdr through my tv with no problem. Although if you have wireless speakers, aside from hooking them up via blue tooth as it’s called headphones in settings(????) why not have speaker integration that isn’t just a Roku wireless speaker is beyond me. That’s my one mark down, soundbar integration is not simple or easy. HDMIearc does work. But it’s still great, so responsive and so crisp. And I love the backgrounds you can choose and screen savers. Very cool.

I bought this when I wanted to upgrade from my ISP-provided streaming device. I had used Roku and another brand previously, and decided on Roku this time because I knew it was easy to use, stable (without nagging issues), and was a good value. I was not disappointed except in one area: you cannot have one person listening via bluetooth earbuds and have the other folks in the room listen via normal sound. We had previously relied on this method on another device so my hearing-impaired husband could turn up his volume and the rest of us wouldn't be blown out of the room. I never thought it wouldn't be available on Roku. We ended up hard-wiring an amplifier connection from the TV to wired earbuds for him. Old-school but it works.

I'm very glad that I chose Roku as the technology to stream to our televisions when we cancelled cable (about nine years ago.) The only gripe I have is that with some amount if frequency, the remote the remote has a delay when sending the signal to the box. That is really annoying.

I have been very satisfied with my Ultra. It's fast, does what it needs to do, and has a nice remote. That said, there are a couple of negatives: 1. Shame on Roku for not putting a full gigabit ethernet port in their 2024 premiere model. It's still only 10/100 which, for the record, is 1995 vintage technology. What are you guys thinking? It makes a person wonder where else they're cutting corners. 2. Roku needs to stop messing with the menu. The reason people buy Roku is because you have a (virtually) ad-free launcher to quickly get to your content. Stop cluttering the page with stuff we don't want or need. Don't become like the others. Simplicity is your marketing edge.

We hoped that the ROKU Ultra would bring a very noticeable upgrade over our ROKU Stick 4K, but we did not notice hardly any upgrade. There might be a small improvement in the time it takes to load apps, but other than that it did not seem to be an upgrade worth the price. It does come with a better remote. That is nice. But there were no other advantages. We noticed that some apps operated very slightly differently. Volume was lower. The picture was not better, and in fact, it seemed to want to alter the settings on our very nice Samsung TV. It also caused a change in the way YouTube operated. Every time we open YouTube it started at the last place we were using it, whatever place or video we were watching. That was very annoying. We tried but could find no way to change that. We purchased directly through the Roku Online store. That was a mistake. We returned it, but I must admit that the return process from ROKU was not good. We could find no link to return. I had to call. Then the people seemed to drag things out and make the process very difficult. In fact, I had to call four times over five days. On the last call, when I finally received reasonable support, I had to go through three people before one of them finally know how to simply give me an RMA. Their customer care is ridiculous. Next time I will go through Amazon. Yes, everyone should just order through Amazon.

I have yet to watch a live program where it works from start to finish. Stalls, hiccups or simply quits. Upgraded everything possible, to no avail and customer service? I got tired of the phone calls and went in to the service shop and waited in line with the others, many with the exact same issue. I will stop now as my point has been made.
