Bought this model to try and solve our frequent buffering problem, before we upgraded our internet to a higher speed and therefore much higher cost. The Roku Ultra did the trick. We have found that we also like the Ultra much better than our previous Roku unit. Purchasing online was quick and easy. We would highly recommend this unit.

My Samsung tv was so slow to get to the content I wanted to watch. With the Roku, I am able to get to my shows faster. I’m also able to search and browse for new shows much easier than with the built in tv interface. This has made a world of difference in my viewing.

I got this device after cutting my cable service and I couldn't be happier. Access to lots of great content, easy to navigate, snappy controls and gives me everything I need all in one device. This Ultra model also has some nicer features that just make it even better than the other models. Highly recommended model!

The sound and video quality is great. Very easy to install and setup. There are only two things that would make this a better experience. It would be better if the remote was able to control multiple devices such as amplifier and DVD player. It would also be better if it was more intuitive to make it easier to navigate through multiple apps. The voice command feature doesn’t always tune to the correct channel in the correct app.

In my opinion this is the easiest streaming device to use. The voice control is the best! Finds everything regardless of which network or platform is streaming the content you want and offers you choices if the content is on multiple streaming services.

I just received the roku ultra 4850 with rechargeable backlit remote. Wanted to give my daughter the older one. The problem is that I cannot get the new remote to control the volume and mute on my TV and had no problem with the other remote which is a battery powered voice remote. Have tried the remedies suggested online and it still doesn't work. Now I'm sorry I ordered this new model with rechargeable remote. The player is good but the remote not so much. Have to sometimes press buttons multiple times to get it to work. Would not suggest buying this model with the current remote.

As it says in the title, it works! It works fine!! I think I'm getting very high res video when it's available. I guess I still don't know how to verify what the resolution is of the video I am watching. As you all know, the remote is really easy to use and I couldn't ask for more.

I own an earlier version of the Roku that works fine, but the ultra does not turn on with the remote. I have to unplug and plug it in every single time even though the TV turns on. Plus the ultra turns off on its own if it sits for a while. I have checked and I am on the current software version. It’s very frustrating.

We had an older model of the Roku Ultra for many years. At some point it stopped switching to the proper input on it's own without intervention from the TV remote to switch inputs. It also seemed to move slower and "get stuck" more frequently. An upgrade to this current model resolved those issues. It was unfortunate to have to repurchase the same product to get the same level of functionality we used to have, but for convenience sake, it felt worth while to us. Hope this one isn't as "disposable" as the previous version.

My original Roku Ultra was awesome. But developed a internal firmware issue. I called hassle free Roku support and they replaced it hassle free. Best awesomesauce streaming product and value today. Even here in Alaska. You save hundreds alone on all the free. Roku channels. Roku you have been found excellent and in today's survival economy your a streaming Hero. Good job and well done.
