The hardware is awesome. It is the best streamer and the remote is great. Backlit and no batteries is great. My only complaint is the freaking commercials all over the interface. Get that crap of my screen! I have learned to ignore all the junk and go straight to my apps. Like I said, almost the greatest.

I've had Rokus for over a decade and watched as they declined. Back then we could load Apps outside of the store (they took that feature away). They then started collecting all our data and selling it. Next, it was Ads. Ads everywhere! Banner Ads, Side Ads, Adds on the Apps screen. Ads, Ads, Ads! The final straw are Video Ads that take over the Home screen, put right on top of all your Apps, with loud annoying Audio that you can't do anything about. Turn on the Roku or wake it from sleep and a loud Annoying Video Ad is playing that you can't skip to get to your content.

I've had a roku for years. Awesome streaming device. Great features easy to navigate. Now why I got rid of all of them. I removed all of 5 roku ultras. Why? Ads on home screen. I like a clean seamless home screen with no ads. Apparently roku does not give customers the option to remove annoying ads on the home screen. I got rid of cable because of ads. Now ads are everywhere with no free option to remove them. I no longer use any streaming device. I will not recycle my old rokus. My 10 lb sledge hammer will take care of that. Roku, if you want me back. Remove all the ad banners on your devices. Otherwise I'm going with a firestick. And buying my family amazon fire sticks for their tvs as well. As they do not push ads down my throat.

I have used Roku since 2015 and have previously used the streaming sticks but my old Roku started overheating so when I replaced it I read the reviews of the Roku Ultra and decided I would make the upgrade. It was well worth the extra money with the increased speeds and additional features it was well worth the purchase.

I replaced my two generation old ultra with the new 2024 ultra.The picture is noticeably clearer and the sound is very good. The old player would get quite hot and the new player just gets lukewarm. The player is very fast and the lit remote is great!

I have insignia with Roku built-in in the living room. I've had it for about 10 years now but I could never get Apple TV to work on it and with the ultra I can actually watch Apple TV on the living room. The other apps on there seem very updated. I love that you can actually page the remote just in case it's lost between the couch cushions. Battery holds up well on the remote. And the voice feature is a nice thing to have.

My Samsung tv was so slow to get to the content I wanted to watch. With the Roku, I am able to get to my shows faster. I’m also able to search and browse for new shows much easier than with the built in tv interface. This has made a world of difference in my viewing.

My original Roku Ultra was awesome. But developed a internal firmware issue. I called hassle free Roku support and they replaced it hassle free. Best awesomesauce streaming product and value today. Even here in Alaska. You save hundreds alone on all the free. Roku channels. Roku you have been found excellent and in today's survival economy your a streaming Hero. Good job and well done.

This was a gift, glad to get it , we love Roku service. Smaller sticks were prone to heat dissipation issues. This one seems good so far. I did notice an issue with volume compensation. Some feeds are very loud compared to others. Even with the device settings done correctly. Maybe software updates will address this.

This new Roku Ultra player might be faster than last version but now the new remote is with NO headphones support ... the whole system is worthless. The non-ability to plug my headphones into the remote and watch the shows without the tv volume keeping people awake is a deal killer. This remote should have that basic staple of Roku hardware. This new remote is useless.
