Great Product

Delivery was a sinch! They called a day in advance to notify me of delivery & they called prior to & made sure I was going to be home. The packaging is well done. Putting together was easy my son put it together & it was easy. Instructions are easy to read also. Hopefully, the power doesn't go out but if it does I know Westinghouse has me & my appliances covered.

Better Than Expected

This is my second Westinghouse generator as I needed to move from a 120V to a 240V connection. Hated giving up the reliable iGen4500 but this one is sturdy, was easy to set up and starts quickly. I expect it will serve us well as we deal with weather-related outages in our rural area.

Just an overall great generator.

After being without power on several occasions I decided to buy a generator. I chose the WGen7500 for several reasons. It's on wheels so it can be moved around easily. I can run my whole house on it. It can be started and stopped remotely. The price was reasonable and more importantly it's easy enough for my wife to use.

If it runs as good as it looks then WOW

Opening the packing I was amazed at how well it looked. Grabbing the owners manual, I went to work putting the wheels on. That is basically the only assembly needed. Comes with oil so a funnel and a few minutes that was done. Tried to program the fob for remote start/stop. Followed the instructions but could not get the battery light indicator to come on. The battery was connected at the factory and had voltage but nothing showed up on the indicator panel. Tracing the wires, I found a connector tie wrapped and sort of hidden. Connected that and then every thing worked. Programming was easy. And after adding fuel I was able to start it right up. There it was running like a cheeta after prey so it was time to plug in something and be amazed. I plugged in a trouble lite but no go. The circuit breakers were ok but nothing out of the GFCI outlets. The buttons were not protruding so I thought I had a problem. After a few head scratching moments I pushed on the buttons and then a little green light came on beside the button and I had power out. You can't see that little light until you push the reset button ALL the way in. Both GFCI outlets have the Green Go light but it's not mentioned in the manual either in pictures or narrative. I really like the ability to select and see what the voltage output is as well as frequency and run hours. All in one data center read out. The generator hardly knows when another load is added and is relatively quiet. You don't have to worry about gas level either because there is a fuel gauge right on the tank. I must say that for the money, this WGen7500 has all the bells and whistles I will ever need. I really like the remote start/stop feature. I would recommend this Generator to anyone who needs portable electricity. But do note that this thing is heavy. 200 lbs shipping weight and about 190 assembled ready to roll. Add 6 gallons of gas and that's another 48 pounds to pull around. A Class A Generator.

Started right up at the first press of the button!!!!

I just received my WGen 7500. It was very easy to assemble (only had to put on the feet, and the wheels). Filled it with oil, and put a little gas in her, and she started right up!!! Haven't had a chance to put her to the test, but impressed so far! Actually seems a little bit quieter than my old Generac 4000W! I'm hoping we don't have a repeat of Hurricane Irma any time soon, but I'll be super prepared now!! My poor Generac got a work out, and I can't complain, but I really needed more than she could provide.

Powered Boat Lift

Owned for a couple months. Using to power a heavy boat lift. Boat lift has 2x 3/4 HP motors. I wired them to run off of 240V. Works great! Like the easy push button start; works better for rest of family, as they don't know how to use a choke, etc... to start it.

Remote Start Device Great for Snow or Ice Weather

We purchased this a month ago and have yet to use it; however the set-up went forward without a hitch. The remote start feature worked the very first time we tried it. For us it was a good choice as a whole house generator for downed power lines, which are common in Western North Carolina. We calculate it will keep our electric ignition/gas furnace, well pump, and refrigerator going for the duration of power out. We have a very small cabin home and don't need a whole house automatic generator system, which costs 3 or 4 times more than this unit. We wish the assembly instructions had included more specific information on how to use the battery re-charger, included in the unit. The electrician who helped set up our circuit panel to receive the generator showed us how to use the battery re-charger.

Push the button and its ready to go! Powerful & easy to move

When it arrived, I unpacked the box, installed the wheels, attached the battery, added oil and gas, pushed the start button, and it started immediately. I was amazed. Powerful enough to run most appliances in my house at the same time. Very happy with the purchase especially at this price point!

Lots of good features!

We bought this generator to use daily while living in our RV until our house is built. We like that we can convert it to power our house in the future. Although we haven't used it daily yet, we have tried it out and are very pleased with it's features and power. It's also not as loud as we thought it might be which is a big bonus. I think we'll be very happy with it.
