Great Operating Features

I live in a very rural area and have total electric power. We need a generator to provide power during outages for well water etc. It replaced a failed unit that did not have operating features of the WGen7500' This unit was easily and quickly set up following the instructions provided. I did complete the set up prior to adding oil and gas to the unit in order to allow me to tilt the unit on its end to install the wheels and feet very easily and without creating a gas and oil spill. The remote start and push button start are great feature that I truly appreciate. The unit started on the first try with each of these options.

Excellent Generator - Nice Features

I was going to pay more for a lower wattage generator and found the WGen7500. It not only offered me enough emergency power for my home but I really liked that it's rated at continuous 7500 W. The electric start is great. I just plug it in to my switch and start the generator. Once warmed, I transfer load and the generator goes to work. The features are basic things that you would want. The noise level is not outrageous. With severe thunderstorms in my part of the country, it's really nice to have some comfort with backup power. Our winter icing also causes some issues. I haven't really worked it out hard yet, but I expect it to be reliable and do it's job.

Powerful Generator

I did a lot of research shopping for a generator after a Category 4 hurricane rolled through the midwest in August. We were without power for days and no generators were available. Once this one was in stock I snatched it up quickly. It has the maximum amount of power for the wiring and circuit breaker I have. I wired it with a generator interlock and it will power the whole panel and what I select to turn on. Shipping was fast and everything was well packaged and safe inside. Set up was a breeze, and now I am ready for what mother natures has in store for the winter. Hopefully I won't need it, but I feel better prepared now.

Strong, durable and reliable

It's very nice to have this peace of mind here in the garage. The electric start is a must since I don't want my wife to have to deal with a pull start when the power goes out. I work in Emergency Services, so when there is a disaster, I'm not home, so I need a unit that she can just get running quick and easy, when she needs it, and this generator does that very well. It's large enough to handle most of the house except the air conditioning, but it will run a couple window units along with the fridge, microwave, computers, WiFi and lights, which is more than enough. In these uncertain times, it nice to have something so reliable.

Thus far solid, but with one issue...

I recently purchased this generator as an upgrade to my old generator. This 7500 is more powerful than my older generator, and when I plugged it into my home, it ran everything well with no lag. Great! I'm ready for the storms! My only issue is that the instructions of the generator were lacking. When I placed the oil and the gas in the generator it wouldn't start. I checked and re-checked EVERYTHING and it wouldn't work, not even with the pull-start. I thought I got a lemon. The issue was, was that the battery needed to charge so the electronic start would work. I didn't know this, since I assumed that the battery was charged up and ready to go. You have to wait, like, an hour or so for the battery to charge up. Once you see that little yellow battery light lit, you're ready to go. The instructions do not say this and while this may be obvious to someone more attuned to electronic-start generators, for a newbie like me, it was perplexing and frustrating. Here's hoping that this generator lasts many years!

Great all around generator

I bought this generator to run my house during power outage. It has been what I expected and more. My house is total electric and I can power everything we need except for maybe stove, washing machine, and dryer which we don't need anyway during outage.

Easy to run!

I recently purchased, it was easy to assemble. It works great and runs like it should. The only reason for not 5 stars is the lack of ability to drain completely the gas from the tank for storage. Otherwise everything else was easy to set up and run!

My First Generator

This is my first generator. I have lived in central florida for 2 years and decided I wanted one of these. I had my electrician set up an outlet to plug it in to the outside of my house and a generator latch to code on my electrical box and we simulated a power outage, got it set up and practiced using it for the first time today. I'm pleased with the features of this model and it started and ran well during testing. It is able to power the lines for my 110 breakers including the refrigerator. In event of an outage we plan to use it with 2 small portable ac units in the bedrooms. So far so good. I am marking it a four because it is new and passed initial testing and I'm comfortable using it. I would need to have an experience using it during a real outage to move up to a 5.

Almost great

I am a widow on a farm. I found the directions/documentation clear and was able to set it up and get it running by myself. I had difficulty connecting to the transfer switch because my prior generator was 50 amp. That is not your fault but I mention it for others. However, one star deducted for including a battery charger and not a battery tender. You should know that batteries degrade in extreme heat and cold (and we have both in Michigan). With a battery tender you can be sure the generator battery will be ready no matter what the temperature. The charger you included will not be used. I've already connected my own battery tender. Thank you for considering changing this. Thank you for sending me a cover for my generator in exchange for posting this review.
