Looking forward to using it.

I bought this generator due to an increase in power outages and because our house is the last house on the electrical line. We've been experiencing outages a couple times a year where they last longer than a day. Most recently we lost power for 3 days in the middle of a Wisconsin winter. I bought a transfer switch too so I can safely rely on my generator for power when the utility goes out.

Westinghouse WGen7500 is an easy-to-use generator.

Overall, the WGen7500, one of the latest new editions in the portable generators world. Offers great value and is a great choice; whether you are looking for an emergency home power supply or you need to power your campsite, tailgate party, or your latest job project.

Nice!

A friend of mine purchased this exact unit a year ago after researching various generator manufacturers. He has nothing but praise for Westinghouse quality and features so I purchased one too. I am glad I did because it is packed with features and is built with quality in mind.

Best Gasoline Powered Electric Generator

I bought this generator right after we went without electric power off and on for 4 days during the Texas winter storm. Has a battery to self start the generator. It will try three times before giving up. Also has a remote start fob which will allow you to start the generator from as far away as 109 yards. You can also start it by pull rope if you want the exercise. Comes with a quart of 10W30 motor oil and a fill funnel. Manual is well written and easy to read and understand with good illustrations.

Nice generator

This is a nice generator for the price. I run a mobile business and depend on the generator for things to run smoothly. The only issue I had is that the silicone baggies in packaging busted and left oily residue all over the product. But other than that it has worked great.

Pull start stuck, cheap wheels

Overall quality seems good, instructions are very good and detailed, showing all parts and even how it is assembled, so great for trouble shooting. The wheels are rather cheap but fine if you aren't moving this unit around all the time. The small amount of assembly was very easy with included tools. The oil reservoir is a bit hard to get at and the funnel they included was extremely cheap and barely adequate but just go slow. For some reason the pull chord on my unit was stuck and I am still attempting to figure this out.

Beautiful generator

Very simple set up, install wheels, snap in battery connector and screw in base legs. Follow instructions, pour in oil, gas and move switches to on and you're ready to go. Generator started up immediately with the remote. Frame is welded together and seems all around well made.

Great Generator

I bought this generator for emergency back up power. My previous generator would only power one or two circuits and certainly not enough for a furnace, hot water tank and refrigerator. After installing the wheels I put in some oil and gas and pushed the electric start button and it started immediately. I was able to run my furnace, hot water tank 2 refrigerators, a gas oven, microwave, 2 TVs, a PC & printer and 2 CPAP machines. I'm sure the generator would have been able to handle more of a load but that's all I had wired through my transfer switch.

Dependable and powerful

I bought this nearly 3 years ago (may have been a previous model but it looks identical). Thankfully have only had to use it a few times. We have a large house with well pump, septic pump, sump pump that runs frequently and cannot afford to lose power, central AC and heat. I had a transfer switch installed by the side door of my garage, and once I found the right cord and adapter I was pleased to find that it worked flawlessly with this generator to power the whole house. I was able to use the furnace fan and gas furnace in addition to powering the well pump, septic lift pump, sump pump, water softeners, fridge, internet router and all the lights. Very impressive. I have not tried to run our central AC unit but I think I probably could if I turned off some other things. It starts up great even when not run for several months. I just recommend either keeping the starter battery plugged in or remembering to charge it periodically (otherwise you can still pull start it).

Great generator-WGEN 7500 Dual Fuel

Using this generator for boondock camping in travel trailer. Upon delivery the generator was fully set up and running within 10 minutes. I hooked up to a propane tank and hit start. The generator immediately started. I was amazed by how quiet it ran. Much quieter than generators of the same output I have had. The dual fuel option provides great flexibility for both fuel storage and disaster preparedness. The fob is very handy. Remote start and stop. Full instrumentation on control panel. Well made with roll cage protection for the fuel tank. My only minor complaint/suggestion is the battery hook up. Difficult to line up nut and bolt to attach pole connection due to limited space between battery wall and post. Little thing in the scheme of things, but a bit frustrating. Very satisfied with design, function and construction.
