I bought this generator due to an increase in power outages and because our house is the last house on the electrical line. We've been experiencing outages a couple times a year where they last longer than a day. Most recently we lost power for 3 days in the middle of a Wisconsin winter. I bought a transfer switch too so I can safely rely on my generator for power when the utility goes out.

Assembly was extremely easy and straighforward. Initial startup and key fob pairing went well. I tested pull start, push button start, and remote start. All worked perfectly. I have not needed to fully test power generation yet, but I expect this will work flawlessly. I only have two minor cons: -Instructions for connecting the battery are out of date. My instructions detailed connecting the wires directly to the battery terminal. My unit came preconnected with a disconnecor in the middle of the wiring. This is a huge plus, but the directions weren't helpful at all for this step. -Included oil funnel was a nice touch, but needs to be a little bigger in order to really access the oil nozzle. It was awkward, but I did manage with a small amount of spillage.

Perfect size for us. Readily attaches to the transfer switch we installed so we can pick and choose which circuits to energize, depending on time of day and current needs. We're below grade so we have an electric sewage pump. When we lose power we lose water so a generator is essential.

Purchased this generator and haven't had the opportunity to use it myself yet. My daughter, on the other hand, lost power at her house two weeks after I got this one home, so I took it to her house. How lucky. With the electric start, she didn't have to worry about using the recoil starting chord to start it.( I will say, after assembly, I tried the recoil start and it pulled very easily and started on the second try.) She used my generator for two and a half days and it powered everything in her house without any problems at all. Fuel usage was less than I expected compared to my old generator and the noise level was minimal. Overall she was very pleased and I am now buying her one of her own as a belated Christmas gift.

This is an early review so Westinghouse will mail me the free cover for posting a review. So far so good! It's unpacked and put together as stated in the easy to understand directions. The only thing I did differently was to drain the oil. They drain most of it before shipping, but I only use Mobil-1 in all my engines. In this case Mobil-1 EP 5W/30. It's better to get all the conventional oil out before switching over to a synthetic oil.

I bought this generator to replace a previous (non-Westinghouse) generator that did not have battery start. A friend who has a WGen7500 recommended it and a search online verified that it gets very high ratings. The WGen7500 was easy to set up and start. I really appreciate the remote start.

I had the WGen7500 shipped to my house. Perfect delivery and very well packaged. The instructions are easy to follow and assembly was simple. Added oil and gas and it cranked right up!! You can tell this product is made by professionals who take pride in their work. Thank you!

Bought this in June but did not take out of box until recently. Had a transfer switch and outlet box installed. Pluggrd in the generator and it started right up. Chose the breakers I wanted to run and it worked like a charm. Seems to be a very good unit.

The fuel economy is excellent. I really like the key fob remote start and outlet options of the generator. I testws via the 30amp to 30amp plug for home support and found a full load lasts almost 8 hours. Outstanding IMO!! I did take away 1 star for shipping. The generator arrived with a bent cross bar cross at the top. The dent did NOT impact the generator but I chose to accept shipping since these are fairly hard to come by in Texas due to recent snow storms.

We have lived in the country in NW Washington state. We have experienced crazy wind, and snow storms over the years that have rendered us without power for up to a week. In all that time we talked about getting a generator, but were reluctant to do so because of our perceived lack of skills to avoid electricuting ourselves or burning the house down. I love this unit. We fired it up recently in anticipation of fall windstorm on the horizon. We had EVERY 120 circuit item in the house going at once with no power draw at all. The ease of set up and remote start, make this the best purchase we've made in years.
