I Got Duped with This One.

There are those of us who go all out, decorating for Christmas and in this case Halloween. We do it because we love it - even when we see questionable reviews... This isn't my first animatronic from Sams - but it may very well be my last. I knew I was in trouble when the holes on the bottom of the tombstone weren't large enough to accommodate the wing nuts... Other parts didn't line up well either... And it was no simple task putting this thing together. Once up - I plugged it in... And the voice box worked great... BUT - there is an awful, LOUD "thud" coming from the back, under the metal casing - where the mechanism moves the ghost from side to side. It's so loud that it's distracting. It happens EVERY time the ghost moves, and even as it goes back to its original position. There's no doubt in my mind it won't make it to Halloween - and I'd take it back - but it's too freaking big - and I honestly dread taking it down. I'm entirely disappointed.

Lack of Quality

This was a great addition to our Halloween props. We ordered it online as soon as we saw it and we put it up the end of September. However, here it is October 5th and it's already broken. The motor for the ghost broke and the ghost just goes all around the tombstone freely. It is out of stock as well. I'm frustrated and disappointed. This is advertised as an indoor/outdoor product, why is it made so cheaply? I'm not sure what we are going to do at this point, maybe try to rig it as a stationary figure until after Halloween and then return it to the store.

Top heavy, clicks loudly!

Giving it a 3 because it looks cool. The functioning aspect of it would be a 1. The assembly was difficult because the support bars would not fit into each other. They were warped. We had to break the clips and force it in. Once assembled, it looks awesome. We loved it. But then after a week it started clicking loudly. So basically when she swings over to the side, she is too heavy to swing back. My husband is an mech engineer, and he basically rebuilt the entire thing got it to work and it started clicking again. The problem is it's top heavy. He ultimately just unplugged the motor. So she doesn't swing anymore. But we can still see and hear her. I'm very tempted to bring her back but we do like the way she looks.

Motor broke almost immediately.

Was very excited for this product. Had it delivered because I don't have a vehicle big enough. After potting it together which was fairly easy the motor that moves the ghost lasted about 2 minutes before something broke and it stopped working. Now I have to figure out how to return it.

Awful Product

First the plug that came with it didn't work! Had to find one that did. Next, 2 weeks after being up it stopped working and just made a clicking noise. Can't get the company that makes it to return phones calls and very non responsive to emails. Very disappointing. Don't buy it!!!!!

Worked great for 2 days then stopped working.

Loved this initially. The assembly was fairly simple if directions were followed closely. It is much taller than expected and when it is running it looks amazing. It has a great look at night and lights up well. I protected the cord with an outdoor box to keep it sealed and dry. The neighbors all love it, and the ghost voice is haunting. . Unfortunately, after 2 days of use, the swinging feature stopped working and now it just clicks like the movement gears gave out. Not sure what is happening so we turned it off and now it just stays in the yard unlit.

Broke after day 1

Bought this product as soon as it came on the market and didn't assemble until October which was my mistake. The motor stopped working after a day and appeared to be damaged as it was bent but this would not have impacted the motor. We removed the pin so it would stop making the horrid cranking noise. Its a beautiful and unique piece but unfortunately its made extremely poorly on the mechanical side, especially for the price. I tried to post my review several times a couple weeks ago but it would not allow it.. hmm..

motor starts stripping doesnt work after 2 days

i love how it looks however , after a day or two , it starts making a very loud noise. the motor is stripping and its not going to last. i bought one and returned and exchanged it thinking it was a fluke. but now the second one is doing the same thing. very disappointed. im going to return it and hope to get my money back. i got videos. just horrible.

Pretty cool but poor quality

It's such a cool decoration but the quality isn't great. We've had it up for 2 weeks and the motor is already shot, it doesn't work anymore and the sound is gone. Now the pain of taking it apart and returning it. Very disappointed.

Beautiful but mode mechanism not working correctly

It is clicking loud. We think it is broke. Something in the motor mechanism. Just put it up today. How can we get this problem solved We love it and want to keep her. They are out of stock now
