This box looked so nice in the store. Wish we had left it. Upon assembly, the box and lid would not line up and you had to force the lid in place. Had it in use less than a month and the plastic is cracking and breaking, the lid won’t shut at all unless it comes unhinged from the base. Awful!! I would rate it 0 if that were an option

We bought this storage bench at our local Sam's club. The box had packing bands on it, so we know it had never been opened. Much to our dismay, there were no assembly instructions included. We looked at reviews on this site and found a phone number (too late to call) and two websites. Neither website contained assembly instructions that could be downloaded. It appeared one site did, but when clicked on, you were directed to products only. We finally found a video (with no voice) that we were able to follow. We live a 2 hour round trip back to Sam's, so taking it back was not an option. Fortunately my husband is an engineer, but even then what should have taken 30 minutes took over 2 hours. We still have one rogue piece that doesn't have a home yet. While the bench appears sturdy, our entire experience with this product was poor.

DAMAGE

I own 4 other Keter products, they are all great. This one however was a real challenge to put together, several warped areas made snapping in place difficult. Not everything lined up properly and therefore, I can see why items gets wet when it rains. So, that this into consideration with this one. Returning, seems like a headaches and I have no desire to put together another one. So I’ll put plastic over my cushions inside the storage. Oh by the way, the color say’s brown but it’s so close to black I can’t see much brown, and the lighter color is more grey than brown. Good luck!

Great deal for price

I purchased this 2 weeks ago and since then we have had one heavy rain event. Imagine our surprise when we opened the "storage" bench and found about 3 inches of water inside. We had temporarily placed our radio we use when in the yard and forgot about it. Needless to say it is ruined. Otherwise, the bench is sturdy and looks very nice in our yard.

One piece was broken

This bench...I don't know where to begin with this bench. Once I opened it and pieces were already broken off of it, I was a bit weary. Then while building it and realizing that about a third of the instructions are "Click click click" I suspected that I would be right on how bad this bench is. Almost nothing "click click clicked" together correctly, the lock couldn't be put in as it immediately broke off, and I'm pretty sure at one point it had me screwing in screws that literally did NOTHING for the structure, stability...really anything. I'm pretty positive this project took about ten years off of my life. Save yourself time, money, and hassle. Don't buy this.

After all the horrible reviews we still decided to buy 2 of these Keter Hudson deck bench/box. It was very easy to follow the instructions in the box which was mostly pictures or diagrams. One of the benches had a small piece chipped out in the back of one of the rear legs. Not very noticeable. They look very nice on our dock with a little table in between. Very nice looking & comfortable. Happy with our purchase.

Love this bench!! It's beautiful and looks great in person. It's plenty big for two people to sit. I love the curved arm rests. It's really sturdy (which I was kind of surprised by after putting together). The storage area is plenty big for some outdoor stuff, pillows, etc. that I don't want to get hit with weather 24/7. Putting together was quite a chore - some of the plastic was tough to piece together, but all in all, it was so worth it. Just to note - it is more of a gray/brown so would go well with both color schemes!
