A2500

Just bought a Vitamix A2500 after the 30-year old Kenmore blender "died." I have used it daily for the past four days. Sometimes trying up to two or three different recipes from the enclosed book and online recipes. It makes the best smoothies and is cheaper than the smoothie "place." Soups are hot and delicious.

Outstanding machine

This is my first Vitamix and I noticed the difference right away. The build quality is excellent. The A2500 is very user friendly, looks great on the countertop and most importantly the blend quality is incredible. After getting into açaí bowls and smoothies and trying the Oster it just wouldn't do it with the precision and ease of a Vitamix. I've read a ton of reviews about this machine and unless some people have received defective machines, I don't know why everyone is whining about this model. If the container is too big (not a problem I experienced), select another model. This machine was said to be extremely loud by some reviewers but I have not experienced a level of loud that would require hearing protection. If you are on the fence thinking this isn't a good blender, don't allow the few negative reviews to make you look elsewhere. It has a 10 year warranty. I have been using it every day since I opened the box.

So far obsessed!

Perfect blender! Has all the settings needed abs love to be able to control myself. The gray color is beautiful. Blends smoothies so smooth and soups perfectly! Haven’t tried anything other than those 2 things at moment but will update as I do. Very powerful and cleans itself amazingly. Love the 3 presets for things I plan to make most. also just purchased accessories so will review those soon. I love the size of container for huge batches of soup or multiple smoothies or ice cream at once. Plan to get smaller container for every day use.

Best Smoothie Maker

I use my smoothie maker every day to make smoothies with frozen fruit and it works great. I prefer my smoothies smoother and depending on the fruit, I either use the predefined setting or use a few extra pulses to get the desired smoothness. I’ve also used for ice cream that was very creamy.

Hummus, smoothies, and more!

I purchased my A2500 a few months ago and use it almost daily. Fresh hummus, soups, and smoothies are now featured regularly in my kitchen. The recipe book has some great options! The one thing that I got stuck on was the smoothie cup attachments not being recognized by the sensors on the blender base... but I found a tutorial video that shows how to match up these tiny little arrow markers on the cup and the blade base. Has worked like a charm since, so don’t be discouraged!

Most used kitchen appliance!!

I frickin love my Vitamix A2500! I had been eyeing this for the longest time. I used to own a blendtec, but always knew that vitamix was the best blender. So when it was time to upgrade I did my research on the vitamix models and decided on this one! I also make smoothies almost daily, so really wanted a top notch blender. This blender blends so well, I have put big chunks of celery, ginger, frozen spinach into this and it blends it all down even more finely blended than the blendtec in my opinion. Some small complaints are that the blending container takes a while for me to scrap everything out due to the unique shape, the rubber top motor part where it has the attachment for the container is somewhat hard to clean, and sometimes the lid can be difficult to take off with one hand. Otherwise it's perfect!

Best Blender I have ever own

I bought mine a few month and honestly it is wonderful, you cannot compare it with anything else, it is expensive but it is worth it. All the features are great and does what it is supposed to do. The only thing I will say is that when you are doing frozen drinks it needs a little bit of help to crush all the ice, it can get stuck and you will need the help of the tamper. Having said that, I have never had such a powerful blender before, I love how it blends all the ingredients. I often make pizza sauce with san marzano tomatoes, garlic, basil, salt and pepper and the end result its beautiful, everything it is mix very well and you can't even see the little bit of basil that you will usually see if using another blender. You will see the difference on you first use, a bit loud but it is very, very powerful.

I love it

This is my second vitamix My first lasted for 5 years with no issues. I saw this model and wanted to upgrade so I gifted my last one so that my wife would allow me to buy this one(smile) We blend all the time, the easy bluetooth connect works great. And I love the preprogram features. What I like most of all is the warranty It just gives you a greater peace of mind to know when a company stands behind their products

Great features but bad switches.

I tried an A3500 and it barely worked at all from all the errors, however, this one actually worked without any issues. The on/off and pulse switches feels very cheap compared to the older models I've owned, such as the Vitamix 7500. The older models switches worked really well and you can fell when it's on since there's a click vs this model where there is no click so it feels really cheap.

Vitamix (for Vegans) vs. Ninja Blender

I just received my Vitamix A2500 and in two days, I have used it 5 times already! I transitioned to a Vegan diet about a year ago and was slogging away with soups, smoothies, "nice" cream, sauces and (dear goodness!) cashew cream using a Ninja. Slowly the Ninja was degrading, and I could not get my cashew cream smooth - just wouldn't happen despite soaking (overnight), boiling, (yes, even) microwaving, etc my raw cashews. If you cook Vegan (even sometimes) you know how frequently recipes have you making cashew cream! Smoothies would have "bits" of greens (spinach) and soups would be lumpy. The final decision that I needed to try Vitamix; I used my Ninja for a raw Vegan lemon cheesecake from my favorite cookbook / author and when it set up, the dessert was inedible all because the blending stage fell short! Who wants to eat a 'gritty' cheesecake? A bad blender is probably why many people think Vegan food is unappetizing. Pouring, assembly & cleaning is a breeze (so much better than the Ninja!) I personally like that the blades are affixed in the containers. I would often forget to hold onto (or remove) the Ninja blade for soups after blending, and it would "plop" into my soup pan splashing hot liquid everywhere) during pouring. I've already packed up my former Ninja blender (which is fine for the blending novice / dabbler) and won't be looking back! The Vitamix A2500 has delivered on everything it said it would be for my recipes (I ordered a bit skeptic); I'm honestly, blown away. The soup and smoothie "smart functions" are (definitely) necessary for me. The smoothie was 1 minute! I used the tamper once on the spinach and then done! My 4 year old loved it and wasn't "chewing" his drink. Romesco sauce was silk; asparagus & parsnip soup was liquid (green) gold, and the mocha spiced coffee (Mexican Hot Chocolate) tastes like you used a double boiler. Wow - that's all I keep saying after using this blender. The system is intuitive and I absolutely love the timer function (many of my Vegan cookbook recipes state how long to blend; probably because the author has a Vitamix!) This blender is surely an investment (and not one I made lightly!), but one I am thrilled I finally made. I also purchased the Aer Disc Container accessory (lemonade in minutes - no squeezing or peeling with 1-2 lemons; yes!), which I highly recommend.
