Customer reviews for Vitamix A2500 Bundle with 48oz Aer Disc Container forBetter than I expected
I bought my Vitamix about 6 months ago. Honestly, I was sceptical. I thought it was a bit expensive for a blender but having gone through a generic brand and another more well known brand in a few years, I thought let's give this a shot. The 10 year warranty was encouraging. I'm just amazed with this thing. It blends so much better than any of the others I owned. I love using the app to walk me through recipes and having it blend for me! I'm never going back to anything else.
Most used appliance!
I have had my Vitamix for 8 months now & am so glad I made the purchase. It was a big jump for me to spend this much money on a blender but now I am totally confident that it was worth every penny. My spouse & I use our Vitamix multiple times every day. We use it for coffee, smoothies, sauces, nut butters, chopping, and so much more! It is more than worth its counter space in my tiny kitchen. The reason that I took off one star is because I think for the price that the Vitamix should come with the essential accessories like the spatula & the under blade scraper.
LOVE this new QUIETER Vitamix!
Vitamix is known for it's superb blending capabilities, but the new Ascent Series is unbelievably quiet compared to previous generations. I have owned a Vitamix for many years and this is the first time I can make smoothies while my baby and kids are sleeping (perfect for busy families). My kids love helping me in the kitchen and we all watch eagerly while the machine counts on the new digital feature for the smoothies and soups. It's extremely convenient on the mornings where I'm juggling 3 kids and trying to make breakfast and smoothies at the same time. We use our Vitamin daily and are beyond pleased with the noise reduction and digital count down in the Ascent Series.
Not well suited to single serving smoothies
My primary use case for the blender was for morning smoothies. A typical smoothie for me contains a fruit, a liquid, some protein powder, leafy greens, and ice. That also happens to be the recommended order to add them as the ice helps push things down. Since it's just a single serving in a giant container, there isn't much height of smoothie to slow down the ice ones it hits the blades. This results in the ice shooting up to the top of the blender, and kicks up ingredients that haven't blended yet onto the walls/top of the container. The video I've added shows this, and you can see a giant chunk of spinach kicked up on the side right when the ice reaches the blades. Yes, I could just spatula it all off and then re-run the blender. I could probably also crush the ice before putting it in. Regardless, there isn't yet a smaller container to make single serving smoothies efficiently. This thing is just too wide of a container for a single serving smoothie with ice cubes. I don't fault the blender. It's a beast, and I'm glad to have bought a vitamix. There just aren't enough accessories yet for the Ascent series blenders. Really hope the 32oz container makes its way to the Ascent line, as that would be perfect for me. My review is based on the fact the Ascent is still a new blender base that hasn't yet released the other containers.
Love this, except......
For years I struggled with various blenders to make a basic smoothie. The motor and blades just couldn't handle a few frozen chunks of banana or pineapple. Even blending for oat flour seemed to challenge my blenders to do it well. After years at the top of my Wish List, reading the reviews, taking the 'Which Vitamix is right for you quiz?', and talking to the customer service people, we finally decided to invest. This machine does not disappoint, well, except for one HUGE (to our family) drawback. It is so so so frustrating to make nut butters. I was told this machine could do it and do it well. The process to get a close to smooth almond butter is off the charts frustrating. My spouse is wondering why we spent so much money for smoothies.......
Smoothie Function is a Disaster
This is my first Vitamix blender. I purchased it to make smoothies. Big gamble. Epic failure. The smoothie function is underwhelming. Disastrous. The ingredients I use are 1.5 cups milk, protein powder, a fresh banana, ½ cup of frozen berries and 4 small ice cubes. I make sure to add them in the recommended order. In the month that I’ve owned it, the blender takes at least three passes to produce a smoothie. And I find myself constantly using the tool the push, mix, and clear air pockets. I’ve owned blenders sold at less than half the price of this blender that performed twice as better. Highly disappointed this blender cannot peform such a simple task.
Best Blender I've Owned
I use my Vitamix every single day for an after gym smoothie. Its powerful and easy to clean, which is important as I have a busy schedule. I just turn it on "smoothie" and put away the ingredients as it blends and I have a perfect smoothie every time.
Addicted customer
I bought the A2300 reconditioned about a year+ ago and have been totally addicted to it ever since. It was hard to make the move at first because it seemed too pricey for us, but totally worth the money after all. I have been telling all my friends about it, and a few of them even got their own. It makes the best and most creamy soups, the smoothies are so easy to make every morning, as well as hummus and tapenade. Would 200% recommend! My container got a bit stained because or fresh turmeric, but except for that, it's like new.
SO GLAD I SPENT THE MONEY!
I bought the Vitamix A2500 in Black and I am so glad I did! After a year+ of debating and researching reviews and on and on and on... I decided to just go ahead and spend the money. Now, I don't have the kind of money where I can just go out buying expensive things, so this was a pretty big investment for me. I had high expectations of this product, but this machine is literally everything I wanted and MORE!!! Being vegan, I use this bad boy AT LEAST twice a day, no joke. A smoothie in the morning and Nana Ice Cream at night. The sound is loud during some blends but it's not ridiculous or anything. It sounds like any other blender. The cleaning process is crazy fast. Easier than even the NutriBullet is to clean. I can't compare it to any other Vitamix because this is my first one, but this design is so sharp and I haven't had one clumpy smoothie or ice-cream bowl. It fits perfectly under my cupboards on my counter top. I don't know how I was living without it, seriously. It's a great investment. Thank you.
Great!
It's been about a month and works wonderfully. I was skeptical before receiving this model, but not anymore! I read some reviews this is too big for one, and yes, this is a big jar so you might look into the different models to make one serving. Or you can buy a smaller jar. I hope Vitamix gives us the choice of which jar will buy. This is perfect for me and my husband, we make a larger batch of smoothies to replace our dinner. So I would totally recommend this model for a couple. And love their customer service. My first one had some issues and when I called them they helped me with the issue right away. The email was not successful, but the phone call worked beautifully. I had pro 750 and switched to this to use other size cups and different attachments. I've not tried those attachments yet, hope they work well. Some reviews mentioned the switch, but honestly, they are pretty good. When you hold it down, you feel the click. I didn't have to hold it longer to make it work as someone says. If you understand how the switch work, you'll get used to it and I don't have a problem with it. The lid is a little tricky. You need to close a little precisely, otherwise, it won't close it. I hope Vitamix can update this design. The noise is about the same as pro 750. I didn't measure exactly, but this is Vitamix so I expected big noise. Like Modern design Clear lid Compatibility with attachments Timer Powerful 10 yr warranty Great customer service Wishes for improvement Lid Design - Could've made to close more easily. You need to a little precise to close the lid Color options - I personally don't like the touchpad, so I chose this model. I wish this model has a stainless finish or other metal finishes too. I was willing to pay more for that. The app - It doesn't look appealing and not that great for the product at this price range. Other than that can't think of much. I give high four stars! I hope this lasts longer than 10 years like the old version of Vitamix.
